Alien archeology and other mysteries: Thread 9 - The Canonn

2) Is it only me or do the relics look like they could fit together? Urn on Casket, Orb on Totem and so on. Could be a coincidence due to the triangular form of course. I tried to bring them together but they didn't "click" into each other. At least not down on the surface.
3) Totem...Orb...Urn...Casket...to me it sounds like these relics are part of some kind of ritual - the relic names make me think of the Mayan civilisation or so. The black walls along the outside of the site also look similar to Mayan/Aztec drawings when you look a them from the side.

If this helps, I'm glad. Maybe it was already stated, but I hope not :)

Maybe they are pieces in the inter-galactic version of Perfection: https://www.amazon.com/Hasbro-Perfection-Original-version-Piece/dp/B00000IWHG

Just make sure you get all the pieces in before the timer goes off! Doom follows.

Patience Xdeath, patience! I plan on posting tonight exactly what I have, how I got to it, and the exact system that my map points to. I just want to see the system for myself before I give it to the masses. Call it my cherry on top or my victory lap for the previous hundred plus systems I’ve explored trying to make this map theory unveil something useful, lol.

I’ll either have a valuable piece to the ruins puzzle or one frack’n good story which ends with me looking incredibly idiotic. Either way it should be a worthwhile read!!!! [big grin]

Just making a fun little jab. You do good work here, Mengy. Good luck.

G'day all,
I hope this is the right place for this comment.
I have just returned from HIP 17403 System Planet A4A.
I was looking at the crash site and it was just coming on dusk, when I noticed these little brilliant blue firefly like creatures flying about the alien ship wreck. They did not go to any other ship wreck and came out from under the Central hub of the alien craft from the right side as you look at it, where a little protected area has formed.

They were shy, and only stayed close to the cave and only in the immediate vicinity of the arms of the wreck. I am quite thrilled to be able to report this as its very rare to find any life on any of the planets, I haven't seem anyone report this before so I hope you dont mind me putting this info under this thread.
Please click on photo to enlarge it.

The photo has lost some quality by being converted to jpeg, but if you look closely there are about 5 blue dragonfly like creatures in the crock of the body and arm. They moved around at about the speed of a dragonfly.

For your information and consideration
Cmdr D38.

Did I just find Raxxla?

I like your writing :)

So I'll let you off :D

The fireflies come from the UAs strewn on the ground (well the live ones anyway) All the information you could need about the UAs and everything else is on the first page of the thread.

Fly safe.

*Edit* Oh and spoiler tags around the image wouldn't go amiss.

10 months I've been saying that for :)

Indeed. I know its been a off and on topic since we found that first Anaconda near the barnacles. Other than the ship itself and the barnacle, the only thing that stood out was those crates. And it is very odd that they were the only crates that gave off a signal on the wave scanner. Likely due to whatever was in them more than the crate itself. I would say we missed something if it wasn't for the fact that we have only recently discovered what the company even does. Now that we know, and there are new things linking to it, maybe we can finally start piecing more of it together. I'm curious if there are more locations like the mining site and the alien research site out there still to find?

Thanks! I get home from work in a few hours, we’ll know then if I do good work or if I’ve just been in outer space for too long…

I can't help wondering if the puzzles that were designed to lead up to the discovery of the ruins would have given us some hint that would have helped us solve the mysteries of the ruins more quickly.

If my map actually provides something useful tonight then I’m hoping it will give us that nudge forward we need with these ruins.

Just caught up with today's posts - god speed (or more appropriately "May Braben guide you") :)

No you're right. I did some extensive research and concluded this a while ago. I gave a video I took to Cmdr Chris who turned it into a Json dump and then an editable webpage where you can mess around with the sequence. I'm on mobile so can't find it easily but if you search for his posts you find it.

@riz I meant to say for a whole, but would it be worth removing Vall's research on the front page as my research disproved it? And if you can find Chris's second post with the webpage link that would be a great addition :)

Thx, good to have a confirmation. Chris's stuff is great, kudos to him.

I expect this puzzle to be very hard to break.

HIP 17000, Black Hole 7kLs from the main star, located within the Pleiades Sector (and short distance from the three alien crash sites) - Am I the only one that thinks this isn't a coincidence?

perhaps check USS's around the system for a little bit? maybe something will show up ;)

There is a black hole in Maia or Merope (cant remember which) as well. I don't think it is relevant (from an explorers perspective they are common in this type of star cluster), but if you should poke around if you think it is worth it. People discover things by chasing down their ideas!

New toys for the boys!

Hey Commanders, don't want to disturb your science, just wanted to throw in a little toy for you which might be useful for someone.

Its yet another galaxy viewer, feeded with the data from the new journal files and netlogs.

You can scrubb through a timeline to follow the path you took in the game.
It generates heatmaps for the most visited system, interdictions and deaths.
And for science: You can create connection lines between system and add spherical regions around systems (like the ua shell), just to visualize your crazy theories!

Would you like to know more? https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/303714-ED-Travel-History

Cheers!

One thing I can't get past is how there seems to be consistency with ringed brown dwarf (class Y) stars and dual-revolving moons...

I don't know, if anyone allready found this... but: in Rhea is a capital ship under repair, wich has "scratchmarks" on it, similar to them on the ships near the alien wrecks. There are "normal" weapon damages as well. It showed up just a few day ago. And there are two satelites nearby, one provides "raw data", the other a firmware update (what ever it does - maybe it installed a trojan in my ships computer).

I made some screenshots - but somehow the system tells me, it's an invalid file?

Well it's in Rhea near Balandin Gateway.

No, it is a planet around which Ray Gateway rotates - Diaguandri AB 1.

And if I remember correctly, Raxxla is an Earth type planet.

I got a similar take when looking at the cap ship in the "pirateattacksfederation" poi in velli. The markings on that one are still hot and looked similar, haven't had a chance to compare them to crashed ships to get a 100% on it.

That's worth checking out, especially the scratch marks.
