How Much Longer Frontier? (Totally Broken SRV Scanner)

We have been "Patiently" waiting for the next point update that would hopefully address the serious problems with the SRV scanner, but here we are on Tuesday with NO UPDATE! [down]

I am in the process of upgrading a new ship using the Engineers and the inability to locate even common Outcrops using the broken SRV scanner is beyond irritating! The thing is so broken that I can point the SRV at an Outcrop that I managed to find by sight and the scanner display is totally BLANK!

I know that you prefer to address a bunch of issues at once before posting an update, but I feel that this SRV Scanner issue is so serious that it deserves to be treated as a separate and URGENT situation! So I really hope you guys are not withholding a fix for this so that you can release other bug fixes at the same time!

We need this thing fixed YESTERDAY!

Thank you!

I've got ten bucks on the next hot fix being in December.

Yep...

Materials...
Can't find arsenic in my SRV to save my life...
Can't find any T9s seeking stuff so as I can get my Chemical Manipulators anywhere...
And don't get me started on Exquisite Focus Crystals...

Missions...
Delivery missions have been nerfed back to Original Beta reward levels and lower...
A stupid passenger wanted Fish and Medical Supplies (WTH?) a few Kylies from home and ejected after a few hours...
Haven't been able to get a bloomin Alioth Permit despite being allied...
One mission seems to fill an entire cabin... Cannot stack more than one mission per cabin.

Other...
Just looking at my Cutter wrong seems to give me a 30000 Cr integrity bill...
Instadiction [SIC] even when empty is now getting REALLY annoying...

So yes, when will they fix the wave scanner?

They have to fix this soon. Its the only way I can refuel my SRV. For some reason when I refuel it does not fill up my SRV. I also hope they have plans for us to use the wave scanner before December. They dont have to wait to make hotfixes. Hence the name hotfixes.

Found arsenic last night, so it's definitely there! Only thing I noticed with the scanner was that it occasionally gave a signal for something, then it would vanish. Other than that I quite like the fact it plays a little harder to get when giving readings. Was a bit predictable before, imo.

Yes, generally game mechanics are supposed to be predictable. Predictability is what makes a good game mechanic. It's a bug, and I think a lot of us would appreciate it if you stopped trying to present bugs as 'features.'

I heard that in the next update they'll replace a scanner, which is too predictable, with a coin toss box. You'll put in north/south/east/west and toss a coin, and then move into that direction for a few minutes until checking the box again. That'll play a little harder to get and should add amazing gameplay!

Thank you for logical sarcasm. Repped.

Erm. I said I thought there was a problem with the scanner dropping a signal for something it suggested was there. Otherwise I could still find materials, but I had to watch the scanner a little more closely to find out where it was.

Anyhow, sorry I interrupted your echo chamber of debate. Do carry on speaking for everyone. :)

You're playing obvious bugs off as features that add gameplay. Forgive me for despising that.

I also loose the visual indicator from time to time. Usually when I get closer to the outcrop/meteorite etc. Thing is though, the sound does not disappear, meaning I drive the last hundreds of meters on audio cues only. I have had very little trouble finding stuff this way.
