Frontier: Wireframe Python skin Error!

Right. Got black, why would I add a bunch of stripes advertising my ship's attitude and direction to its opponents? :S

I know SJA is good but if she's managed to implement MK1 eyeball for the NPC she is really good!

And why? Sheer nostalgia, that's why. Ordering now. Wrong or not it looks amazing.

And on the subject of nostalgia FD, pick a rarely visited out of the way system with a coriolis station, turn off all the lights on it, and give it a wireframe paint job. Awesome easter egg! :)

Not to tread of furrycat's paws, but left is the new paintjob, right is the wireframe original:

As an 84'er with similarly overly keen pattern recognition the right feels more familiar and 'better', but I still like the new one.

Edit: I actually like the way the left looks as the paintjob, I don't like it as the wireframe alone.

The original is extrovert and the new is introverted

:)

Same here. Its wrong . FD fix it please. I will give you coin.

I don't think it is fixable. The problem is trying to get the wireframe to follow the lines of the ship and the in-game version of the Python simply doesn't match the shape of the old one. They would probably have to redesign the entire ship just to get the lines to follow the shape of the vessel in a way that doesn't drive us "old timers" crazy. Looking forward to whatever they do with the Asp.

I'd still get it, if I hadn't run my paint job down to about 2%. Not cleaning up just yet!

The interesting thing is (unless they've changed it) the wear on your paint job doesn't go away when you apply a new skin to your ship. You still have to go into advanced maintenance and repair it there.

The proportions are a bit off on the backend I suppose.

I was wondering if that was the case.

Ooo, good to know, I may risk that then!
