I've run into a weird issue now...

When I add a new Market, the connect button says "Server down" and the market I added (the one I am currently in) says "Update Needed". Any ideas?

That 'Server Down" message comes from EDMC, when it can't connect to the API of the game. You have to wait till Frontier opens their API again.

After upgrading to 1.4.2.5 I did as you suggested and backed up my database and then ran verify. It came up with errors in the Stars, Locations & Logbook - in the case of locations it now showed 1 entry whereas before I had 48. For the logbook it only showed 4845 whereas previously there had been 5886.

I attempted to use repair but TCE said that they were unrepairable. I then closed TCE but it would not restart until I had manually replaced the newly verified database with the back up I had taken previously.

The pre verify database is here and the post verify database is here

Hmm... EDMC did connect if I ran it stand alone and hit Update. Hmm... I need to test again when I come home from work.

Thanks for your data, found the issues and the next update will fix them.

The number shown at the verification is the entry, where the scan stopped, because of an detected issue. So if TCE shows a '1' at the Locations database after verification, it means, that the first entry has an issue. Nothing is removed at the verification process, but entries can be removed on repair, if an entry is not recoverable.

The new scan checks every star system ID stored at the various databases, if they are in line with the star system database, which provides the ID's for all databases. If a mismatch is found, TCE recovers the proper ID from the referrence database and corrects the entry.

The issue was brought to the databases, because I did a mistake of deleting some star system entries (because they are not in the game) from the main database before the transfer process for an old database. They have only been deleted after the transfer process, so TCE can't fill anymore the removed entries with different star systems. So mainly it is a transfer issue, reaching back to the release of V1.40. But fortunately TCE can repair the issues.

Server is still down, so I can't add more markets at the moment. Does anyone know how long the API will be closed? Or is the problem only on my end, for some reason?

EDIT: Ok, so I have ED Market Connector running, docked with an outpost that had the recent update 8 days ago according to EDDB.IO. Guess what, it is now updated a couple of seconds ago, after I had docked. But, when I add the market to TCE, I get "Server down".

I am very puzzled at the moment, but that is because I am not entierly sure how things works...

Server is still down, so I can't add more markets at the moment. Does anyone know how long the API will be closed? Or is the problem only on my end, for some reason?

EDIT: Ok, so I have ED Market Connector running, docked with an outpost that had the recent update 8 days ago according to EDDB.IO. Guess what, it is now updated a couple of seconds ago, after I had docked. But, when I add the market to TCE, I get "Server down".

I am very puzzled at the moment, but that is because I am not entierly sure how things works...

Try using the commandline executable and check, what issue is reported exactly.
Start > Enter cmd > Navigate to the edmc.exe, normally at C:\Program Files (x86)\EDMarketConnector\ and type 'EDMC.exe -m D:\Test.csv'.

Seems to be valid data, so do you have changed admin rights, which isn't required for TCE?
All is working here, so it must be something on your side, that has changed.

I run TCE as Admin. Hmm... when I get back to Bugayaman I will restart the game and start up TCE again.

Nopes... doesn't work... "Server Down". Even turned off my Anti-virus and it still does it... I am puzzled at the moment. Hmm... Could it be related to that I have several CMDRs in the game? I have made a TCE install for each of them (separate folders), and I have made sure that I have launched the correct TCE, and made sure I am logged in with the corresonding CMDR with EDMC.

Ok... so it works with one of my other CMDRs... so it must be something going on with using TCE with multiple CMDRs, even when installing a specific TCE for each CMDR.

So, I would say that is progress to finding what is going on.

Oh... and this might be me not seeing things... but is there a "Close TCE" button somewhere? Because I have been resorting in closing it from the Task manager.

Ok... switched back to the CMDR where TCE reported "Server down", and it still does it.

So, it seems that there are problems running TCE for multiple commanders on the same computer. I would argue that it is more of my problem though, since ED wasn't really designed to handle multiple accounts on a single computer and I can live with that.

EDIT: I just need to have a Computer for each account; problem solved!

At the launcher, hit the X button at the top-right corner, within the UI, choose Control > Quit.
