Wonder if the player who had the encounter is an employee of Frontier.
I just note that when checking the various videos there are inconsistencies as if this event occurred more than once.
For example in one set of vids the player is attacked by an Anaconda, yet in other videos there is no anaconda. Yet a very similar scenario plays out.

I don't think FD wants us interacting with these things yet, notice how it shuts down your ship so you can't possibly get at it. And given it's size and capability, it would seem to be pretty OP for anything we have. I think this is just an intro, more will come but this ship is probably not what we'll be dealing with. Kudos to FD, this is a great intro!!

He didnt switch it off. The ship turned it off like the UP pulses. He was free floating. You can see when it flies by.
