I'll add my stone with my theory.
First of all, I'll base my analysis on the following image. It's an old picture of the old site (before change), but the obelisk plays no role in my theory. It's also more convenient as this picture is oriented with the North on top:
I already stated earlier: I believe this is a map. Most public maps have a thing in common: The "You are here" label. I believe this is the role of the large circle. Standing in the middle of it, you can see the yellow star raising in the north-west slot and the ringed star in the north-east. It need confirmation but it is possible that the third star would raise in the south-east slot.
Please not that each slot size seems to be directly connected to the star raising into it (The biggest for the yellow).
The second circle, smaller, has the 3 same slots, but bigger (while stil keeping their proportions). I believe this second circle is the moon:
- The moon is smaller than the planet we're on (smaller circle)
- The slots are at the same locations: There are the same 3 stars we're talking about
- The slots are bigger: The suns light will cover a bigger % of the moon's surface
In this theory, the walls between these 2 circles represent the connection (gravity) between the 2 bodies. The moon's wall (west) isn't connecting to anything, telling us: Nothing is orbiting this one.
And now the elephant in the room: What is the 4th slot for? It is far bigger than the other 3, and is also present on both circles. As shown with the stars, slots are points of interest: they connect our location to something else in space.
I believe this shows us where to look. The location can be seen from both planet and moon, but I also believe the Pyramid (south east) is here to tell us we have to look for it from middle of the big circle.
As per the east-west wall, I believe this is some sort of sundial, telling us when to look. Noon will be in a few days on this planet, might be interesting to se which bodies are visible in the sky. We might be able to connect the second pyramid and the 2 weird triangles pointing south to something.
I don't blindly believe in this theory, I just thought it might be useful to mention it.
