Just need to dock at Felice and turn it in from the Mission board.

I don't have him there...

Hmmm. I think i did something wrong. There was no Ram Tah, but there was this guy who eagerly bought data from me: :p

To be honest it feels a bit of let down to be tearing your hair out for a week to only get a typical grindy CG in the end, that will open a new lead.

Anyhow, since there is little point to keep banging head over current ruins, at least until CG is over, can someone send me a PM and tell what the guy that decompiled game files (or whatever he did) few pages ago found there? I am curious.

Maybe when you deliver data to the CG, disables Ram Tah Mission. Bug?

Scan a few more and test it again, please.

Yes, first thing I did is selling alpha, beta... to Ram Tah, he was in Contacts, then I saw community mission was added to my board. And then I was desperately looking to sell my obelisks data, 26 millions, I didn't see Ram Tah and I found this guy. I'm not sure if I want to get back to that buggy ancient ruins, no please no! :D

From what I can tell by the pages google cached, he just posted the games file names.

I wonder if we'll get an extension for the mission once the CG is complete. I kinda want to turn it in and reset it, but knowing my luck, I'd be the one person who wouldn't be able to re-accept it.

Okay so, I'm a low life Mostly Harmless and have been very very inactive overall when it comes to communicating with the community.
I'm still catching up with this thread since last night and from what I can see it was quite a roller coaster.
I've just gone through at least 10 pages of cutthroat messages targeted at one single member... I actually had to stop catching up to this thread to type this message because of it.

Now don't get me wrong.
I definitely understand the frustration behind trying to understand this whole puzzle and having random people just drop by to leave a troll-y comment, or a "solution" filled to the brim with delusion, etc.
But can we please drop the elitist crown and the cutthroat attitude?
Regardless of how much that person "asked for it" I don't think they deserved over 10 pages of constant humiliation.
You guys got so hung over this one post it felt to me like you dropped the entire puzzle just to make sure they felt like about their message. I'm pretty sure they got the hint. If they didn't get the hint it's because they're a dedicated troll, in which case that was exactly what they wanted.

This whole event was partially a way for FDev to get more people interested in the game, potentially get new players too.
Displaying such a cutthroat and elitist attitude is just gonna bring the mood down for everybody.

I'm not saying just take it in and agree with them blindly, take everything with a grain of salt, obviously. We just really don't need to be so aggressive over something so little, call them out and move on.
"It's just a game", I'm sure we all have to deal with IRL, we don't need to make Elite this way.

Please? :(

Dumb question, but are we selling the scan data for the community goal? I just dumped some and ran, and didnt think to look if it was worth credits.

I cashed in mission by accident when I came to get a CG about an hour ago, so I had to retake it and scan 13 solo obelisks again, so retaking seems to be still working.

Can we get over this drama already? The main reason why ppl were so negative about that poster was not his forum activity, but his bold statements that he has solved the puzzle. Pointing at his forum activity was more of an attempt to reinforce the fact that he might have been trolling. Anyhow, this thread moves fast as it is, no need to continue bringing that subject up again and again, lets just focus on topic.

Don't get too excited but I have found some wreckage on this planet. Relatively close to the Ruins.
I couldn't work out what the wreckage was from. There was a cargo rack there, but it just had a piece of tungsten in it.
Its probably nothing to do with anything but because its on the planet and nearby, I thought I would share.

The Imgr link takes you to the album (I hope) and you will be able to see the co-ords there, just so you know I am not sending you to some random place for a laugh.

Is the wreckage persistent? IE, if you log out of the game and then log back in, does the wreckage remain? It's a LOT more interesting if it does...looks fairly similar to the wreckage on Thoth 1A. Maybe it'd be worth searching Thoth some more if this is persistent wreckage?

See, guys? That's what evidence looks like. Kudos for CMDR Jonah.

Seriously though, who in their right minds would present a bold theory claim expecting a friendly pat on the head for not willing to share information and provide accompanying evidence?

I have not been seeking or expected "a friendly pat on the head". Being a non-Facebook/ Twitter user and seldom forum reader I have no concept of trolling. I have made my posts to try and help further the understanding of the ruins, nothing else.

If there is one thing I have learned in my 57 years on this Earth, life can be tough at times and you only get out what you put in. I will not be spoon feeding you with system details at this time for 2 reasons:
1. To allow those that want too, the chance to experience this element of game content and discover the location themselves. You have all the info you need.
2. If there are ruins in this system I openly admit I would like to discover them myself after all the effort I have put, purely for personal satisfaction. I don't expect or want any thanks or praise.

regarding the craters discovered, I have found a number of bodies containing them in this system. They all have mountains at the center and the sound of the ruins increase as you approach the top of the mountain (think radio telescope focal point). I won't be posting audio as it took me long enough to work out how to set up imgur and post images, I don't have the time and there is a pint of Guiness waiting with my name on it.

I wish all those who appreciate the info provided a pleasant weekend and fruitful exploring.

Isn't the CG just a good way to make every player aware of where the ruins are? The original mission didn't even give a system name.

So now we've got 2 weeks to solve it ourselves. Let's get crackin! :)

Do we know why the tall beacons sometimes come up with 1 of the 3 posts missing at the top to the side of the blue relic?

I don't, but I'm curious as well since I think this is one of the major changes in the last patch update. At least for me they were always coming up with all 3 "posts" before. It's possible this has already been covered in this thread though. Hard to keep up.

I think they deactivated the hand-in of the incomplete mission, I tried it this morning to reset my findings and start over again in Solo, but I couldnt hand it in, I had to abandon it.

The CG is a total different story, it goes for Alpha-Epsilon-Data - that´s what you get anyway during scanning of the obelisks.
