Meanwhile in an alternate reality (is that why the far-right tries to re-brand itself alt-right?)...

yeah , its in holland the same only smaller scale , every night cars on fire but the media wont cover it anymore because of racism(its not a race of ppl more a mindset of one of those religions of peace) Weird left wing policy.

Anyway congrats amerika , looking forward for the next 4 years.

Sure. You're not the crazy one, it's the "weird left". It's all a huge conspiracy. Of course it is.

The world is ending!

For what it's worth, both the Brexit and the Trump presidency will do wonders for killing the current popularity of right-wing populism. Nothing like seeing the disastrous results for a few years to shock people back to sanity.

I am dumbfounded. Let us hope no tantrums are thrown and with them nuclear war heads.

I think Trump is more thrilled with getting access to the official POTUS Twitter account than the nuclear codes.

Well.
Brexit has so far worked Great to Reduce Right Wing Voters in the EU.
AFD after Brexit for the First time in a while started losing Voters again.

The faster Britain Crashes down. The more likely that the Far Right will Fall alongside them.

Meanwhile Trump has just gotten into Office.
And there is already Bloody Protests on the Streets lol.

Let's reflect upon the office of the President of the United States of America. The office has been held by these gentlemen;

George Washington - "Liberty, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth."

John Adams - "I pray Heaven to bestow the best of blessing on this house (the White House) and on all that shall hereafter inhabit it. May none but honest and wise men ever rule under this roof!"

Theodore Roosevelt - "To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."

Abraham Lincoln - "Do I not destroy my enemies when I make them my friends?"

James Madison - "The truth is that all men having power ought to be mistrusted."

John Quincy Adams - "Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost."

Thomas Jefferson - "One man with courage is a majority."

Andrew Johnson - "The goal to strive for is a poor government but a rich people."

JFK - "And so my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."

Barack Obama - "Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek."

Donald J Trump - “I did try and [removed] her, she was married..”

Had the same idea before. Nothing and nobody, not even Trump, is so useless that he can't at least serve as a bad example.
It's just so frustrating that some lessons need to hurt so badly before people begin to learn.
Seems that Einstein was right again:

But then again he also said:

'Die Herrschaft der Dummen ist unüberwindlich, weil es so viele sind, und ihre Stimmen zählen genau wie unsere.'
(The sovereignty of the stupid is impregnable, because they are so many, and their votes do count as much as ours.) - Albert Einstein

Did you know that LBJ used to get drunk and loudly "declare war" on other countries at night? Up to ordering the use of nuclear weapons against Korea?

His staff aren't so stupid as to carry out those orders. The president is not an absolute ruler in the way people seem to think. If they were, Obama would have achieved more.

I don't like Trump, but he won the election due to, in my view, a slightly dodgy system of electoral colleges. People should be *protesting* about that system, not *rioting* because they don't like Trump. But that's a but subtle, nuanced and complex, compared to smashing up because.... Angry!

Are you sure the pictures aren't photoshoped? I was expecting this lying on the desk:

I'm shocked

 :D

Yes, I agree with you. These disputes recall those of the bad losers of Brexit. Although in the UK there were no really the riots

Nobody thinks there's an actual red button built in to the Oval Office desk. Nobody here thinks that Trump is going to accidentally fire off ICBMs by resting his elbows in the wrong place. At least I hope not.

No, the way those missiles are gonna start flying overhead is by Trump's foreign policy gaffes, like making the wrong phonecalls to the wrong people to try to sell them Trump hotels.

We can only hope that when it comes to a crisis, he at least doesn't worsen the situation. I just wonder what would've happened if Trump had been in the driving seat during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Here is my version, when you hear a politician splitting out such cliches what trumph does run away from him, as fast you can! :D

so liberal.

Only thing wrong with liberalism today is that in the last 20-30 years the meaning of 'liberal' turned from freedom of the individual (each persons liberties shall only end where the liberties of any other person begins) to freedom of capital (each person has the liberty to exploit everybody else and everything, no matter of consequences).

When my dad served in the Wehrmacht he was called a liberal, consequently he went through a lot of problems with a reputation like this. He was very lucky to survive that time, but was very proud of not letting himself becoming twisted and giving up his attitude, for rest rest of his whole life.

I think you have way too much faith in human intelligence and not enough confidence in human stupidity.
