Ok, well at least all of us over here can focus on 1 planet , now can someone do a search table for this last one like Baton did for PLAA AEC TT-B B41-3 B 2 ? (I've no clue on spreadsheets btw).
Be careful at Formidine Rift Gamma base, do NOT drive SRV onto the base ramps. The collision detection of the models is bugged, and the SRV will become trapped. Cannot reset in Horizons, must relog and recover to orbit using non-Horizons client. Other SRVs that try to push trapped players out will also become stuck. Serious pain in the butt bug.

Thanks for the advice. Am on my way along the latitude line just now. My, this place is big! Takes me forever to get a .01 increment on the line done (sub-cruise, of course).
You must be kidding me. I just spent 20 minutes tracking there. Am on the spot on E6, can't see nothing. (It's pitch black, though, so wouldn't have been surprised)
After tremendous amount of tedium, yogurt and tears, I'm happy to announce that Commander Sajime Chent-Shi of the Children of Raxxla has found the GAMMA BASE in the Formidine Rift region !
This was an enormous man-hour effort, with more that 150 hours spent searching the surface !!
Looks like I drew a short straw somewhere along the line. These long range missions pay well, but it's a year out in the void. A year ! We're out far beyond the frontier. The boys call this place the "Formidine Rift". Apparently that means "terror" in some old earth language. Nice. Just looks like more space to me.
Finally arrived in place after five months of hyperspace travel. Now we have two months of laying a bunch of beacons before another five months travel back home. At least I'll have enough credits to retire by then.
Supposedly there are a bunch of other ships out here doing the same job as us, but no comms allowed. All a bit strange. it's vast and lonely out here, pretty much the whole galaxy is behind us. It's getting to some of the crew.
We picked up some kind of bizarre signal yesterday. Whatever it was wasn't human. At least, that's the scuttlebutt going around the decks. Everyone is looking out of the canopies now. We're seeing some strange lights during hyperspace transits. Terror ? Yeah, we got some of that ...
--------
More strange lights. We've got equipment malfunctions, scanners dropping in and out, systems restarting. Ship is limping on. Everyone wants to turn about, but if we don't complete the mission we don't get paid. No one wants to give up those credits either. You expect to turn around and see ...
We're done and we're heading home. We picked up some heat signature in the last system. Definitely something there and it wasn't any profile I had seen before. Something was watching us. There's something evil out here, and it doesn't like compagny !
Apologies for the little missing information, ammended my post with the actual System/Planet properly mentionned.
Cheers guys ! All the rep goes toward Sajime, she really is one of the most awesome and dedicated (did you say space-crazy ?) commanders I've seen by far !
That little 1.34g planet just cost me over 50% of my hull ... which wasn't exactly spotless in the first place coming back from deep in the rift. Oh well, seems I won't be visiting the Gamma site - tucking my tail in and running back home. Good luck to all out there right now.
So the Gamma base logs talk about laying a series of beacons. The four planets we've already seen are strung along in a line. Any significance? Could there be more undiscovered beacons or other content further along the line? The Beta base logs mention a habitable planet. Is there system with Earthlikes that falls roughly on the line off either end?
This set of logs does seem to indicate the expedition was deploying some form of satellite further into/across the Rift. Presumably the direction they travelled is a straight extension of the line from this base to Reorte/Riedquat. However IFF we want to find this lurking evil then the obvious thing to do is start a semi-circular search centred on this gamma base heading out away from R-R
Same applies to the other two Gamma bases.
Did Salome find the lurking evil, or did she find these bases, read the logs, and realise that this was a special ops mission with some high-level Fed/Imp backing. But at the moment it seems like it was all Federation so how was the Empire involved?

As requested, keeping up my log of what's been found so far.
I think Drew is hinting at maintaining names of the explorers who made the discoveries for posterity. If anyone has links to the other "first discovered" posts, I will add them to my
I'm pretty sure Erimus is keeping a tally over at the Children Of Raxxla, as most of the discoveries are by members. Also appearing in the ESDM interactive galaxy maps too.
