Okay...

I think I might have something this time.

I posted this yesterday;
However, after we had no luck in searching, I decided to do a bit of research on something called "Spherical Trigonometry" (source).

While not understanding it myself, I decided to try and work out how many triangles it would take to make a sphere out of triangles.

So I came up with this:

And I think it has something to do with this:

I cannot find the link to the person who recorded all of the triangle lights on these pillars - but they are all the same on all the pillars and sequence the same - which may means these are linked to ruins on the planet!

Has anyone got that link!? Know what I'm on about?? Can't find it on the main OP (probably taken down because no one could work it out). Would appreciate it if someone could post it here!

Did anything come from this? the glyphs on the obelisks can be translated into latitude and longitude coordinates based upon CMDR Dreamstate's post.

The original ruins probably contains information to find the planet to search. Just because FD gave us some systems doesn't mean the original puzzle was solved. There's still more information to find and use, and we should use the systems they gave us to check the results.

Excellent work.

I think this is the one:

Synuefe xo-p c22-17 D1.

Reason:
- Orbital period = 4.9 days
- Rotational Period = - 4.9 days

Same setup as on the current ruin planet (except it has +- 6.9 days).

Seems like a good lead. Any similar matching orbital/rotations in other systems?

edit: yup

How about this one? If we are looking for + orbital period and - rotational period of course.

Maybe too cold and too low gravity.

Going to bed now, but IC 2391 Sector ZE-A D101 C 3 and C 3 A (it's moon) look like good candidate planets. Identical temperature (300K), similar gravity (0.22 for the planet, 0.08 for it's moon)

I am not allowed to rep you again atm, but if I could, I'd just sit here spamming rep on this post!

We should also consider the changes between current and beta ruins. Some formations and at least 1 beacon was moved. It must have been done for a reason.

Heading in towards the current site at 5k up a little blue light was on. This was in solo not another ship.
Maybe this could be a visual aid. I know its weak but every little.

Can we determine the planet by the "singing" sound of the ruins? There is a sound at Synuefe XO-P c22-17 ; "abc 1a" but I don't know if it's normal background sound, or ruins.
