Turn OFF rotational correction when ruin-hunting!!

Just chiming in on the ruin hunting topic. Disabling rotational correction disables ALL persistent and obnoxious engine sounds while cruising. The only times you will hear your engines/thrusters is during course and speed changes. Pass the info along!!

My main worry about this method is : if it's so good, how come you haven't found a ruin yet :)

Off to check the original ruins for clicks - will report back!

I'm trying to. Having trouble staying awake though. Noticed it on my way back to the first ruin as I was going to see if I could find them visually. Overshot the general area and noticed the extra tone and it getting softer.

Got to get some sleep (almost 3AM) and maybe somebody will find something (with this or something else)

Almost crashed my Asp again.

That sounds like your thrusters firing. Were you by chance flying with FA off? Happens to me too. Just disable rotational correction and you don't need to run FA off. Rotational correction off disables the loud engine and thruster noises

I thought I did have rotational correction off but I didn't, so I guess that's it then. Damn, thought I was on to something

(at work at the mo'), I left ( 0130 GMT early hours of the morning ) my Ship on 11b surface and cant wait to start the search again ( when I settle down on the sofa this evening ).

Just wanted to say 'Thanks for a memorable evening of interesting gaming FDev'..... :D

If you're sound searching it may pay to turn off rotational correction when in basic flight, gets rid of those annoying engine sounds until you change speed or course correct.
