unlocked all enigneers, all permits, etc. what now?

Sounds like you need to start exploring PvP, and I don't necessarily mean CQC. Now that you're bankrolled and understand the basics, it's time to take your game to the next level.

lol :D

i love the PvP bunnies promotion of this little bit of the game like it's the Big Deal - then when the hyperdictions etc started up it turned out most of them didn't have a clue about most of the rest of the game.

it's a brief distraction, then you work out most people even in the fighty builds are terrible pilots (and often terrible people) and it loses the shine.

This. Just started on my way out to the rim past Barnard's etc. 500KLy under my belt from previous trips but they've always been towards and across the core. Never been out too far this way.

You can do that again even with Elite-Rank :p I mean if you are playing just to unlock ranks and permits, you will come to an end. Just play for the fun of it. It's the best way to stay motivated imo.

OP - I highly doubt you are allied with every single minor faction. The major big-3 and some, most, or even all the popular minor factions (Sirius, permit system, etc) sure - but that still leaves thousands of not tens of thousands of minor factions.

Why not start getting allied with a logical next grouping of them?

For example, I consider each engineer system a sort of nodal system, a place where if I wanted to run missions to get mission mats rewards, I could do so right in that same system where engineer is at. So I'm ranking up to allied every minor faction in every engineer system. Are you allied with every engineer system? If not, seems like logical content to pursue.

Next - are you allied with every oasis system outside the bubble? E.g. Sothis/CEOs, Maia, Colonia, etc?

Next - are you allied with every minor faction in every power capital system?

List goes on. These may not be content you wish to pursue, so not saying you have to. But there's a difference between not having content left because you exclude some paths vs truly having nothing left to achieve.

How long did this take you in total? Mustve been atleast 2 years right

no not that much. I play this game mostly during winter, so i have arround 6 months of excessive gaming in 3 years. When its warm again i rarely touch my computer

- - - Updated - - -

1. i am allied with the big minor factions, which seemed most important to me (those you see in Galnet etc) i do the other minor factions by side (checking Mission board everytime, doing missions here and there)
2. all but Colonia.
3. this is a good approach, i will add it to my list thanks

I wanted to gain Elite rank in CQC but most of the time i´m waiting hours until a game starts.

Now THIS will take you some time. The CQC discord channel (in my sig) might help you get some games.

Oh and circumnavigate the galaxy. That will keep you busy for a bit.

Hardware related ideas, of course if you do not have it already:

1) buy HOTAS, for me HOTAS is big deal in Elite and one of main reason why I still play Elite...

2) Buy VR, Elite has great support fot it.

as it looks as if you like to complete all the things, i suggest you go through these 2 lists - and do what you haven't tried:

there are indeed some things i did not do yet, thanks :D

Of coure i have a HOTAS :) My Computer can´t handle VR unfortunately. This is for the future

I've been G5ing all the ships, and I have to say doing engineering in bulk on your fleet is good fun and a challenge. Going for v good rather than max rolls

Pato-

It seems you're unstoppable. SO maybe you can come out to the systems to help us look for the ruins....

Or go to the other ruins site and shoot the ganker/griefers that fly out to kick the poor scientists.

Hi guys,

so January was my free month and i used it to unlock all major game contents.

So far i unlocked all engineers and pimped my conda to the max. There is hardly more improvements i can get from engineering.
Even the big capital ships are no threat anymore. Yesterday i pwnzed an majestetic class to 0% hull just to see how it doesnt pop lol [big grin]

After that i unlocked all permit systems which are currently implemented and got allied with all major factions and minor factions (like Sirius etc.)
I also have all ranks for Empire and Federation.
Only 1 crew member is missing to hit Elite, but i will do this today.
Of course my bank is full of moneyz to handle the -50% income for my Crew.

When my last Crew member hits Elite i want to take part in the Alien puzzles and Formidine Rift Mystery.

But besides that i believe there is not much to do until some new game Content.

So now I want to do more, but i dont know what lol. It´s still cold outside and dont know what to do during this stupid winter

<Snip> Damn ninja's beat me to the link! <- Southpark link!

Personally I'd be trying to experience everything I could. Have you seen the exploration stuff like the giant stars, nebula etc? Have you joined player groups and done events like PvP competitions, sidewinder sports day, race events etc?

I too got to a similar position as you recently, not played since December properly, also partly due to work and irl stuff but I've picked up a few other games that are easier to drop in and out of like Civ 6. I am now getting the itch again but irl has stopped me so far.

i have all ships only the new saud krugers are missing

truth is i like my skinner boxes as well and i dread the day i am in your position. Do delay as long as possible i have set a number of "rules" to slow me down but i spose one day it will come, i just hope FD keep adding new boxes to fill.

if i was in your boat (or cutter) I think it would be time for a break.

Agreed cmdr...Engineers seemed to just prolong that more than a tad at least for me. But soon if not already..the guyme really begins.

To be fair, kinda, if it weren't for the big carrots dangling from some of these engineers id for sure not have engaged the SRV and mining. I wont be doing the 5k run tho...nope no way

From the srv i found that cruising at about 600 feet hunting for data scan points offered an experience of dynamic solitude and scanning itself as simple as it is, has a subtle intrinsic coolness to it---hacking the hackers maybe?

thanks for all the useful input guys. i put many things on my to do list :D
