Last I checked the colours are correct physically, since all light from a star is white in essence, just with a different white balance? as in one white might be slightly more reddish, another bluish e.t.c.

Well as the two headline acts of the forth coming instalment are...

The headliner aka MC is not for me. I'm sure lots of people will use it but by now im heading to the exit as the support bands were better than the main act.

Commander creator, aka nope cant say it... is mediocre, its a one time deal for me yeah I get to give Lok a look but once that's done it done, but its something I've been doing in games for a long time now.

So yeah I really hope FD have something up their sleeves, oh mega ships were cool but that was like the sound guy doing a sound check even before the fist band showed up, it was quick.

So with luck the special guest will be worth waiting for, but at least 2.3 will have some bug fixes im sure as being spammed by NPC's with a default hamlet who are still going to be using the one liners might get old even faster that it already has.

I still think 2.3 will see a ramp up of the 'Alien Threat'. For a long time now we have had the whispered stories and downed ships with strange last messages in tip off points. More recently we have had the alien scout interdictions and scans. The natural progression for this is going to be a more 'dangerous' encounter. Time for the scouts to release their drones then cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war!!

If it isn't the asteroid bases, it's the gas giants. Imagine a res site inside the clouds and if you go too deep you get pressure warnings. So smaller ships can escape to the depths and the larger ones will have to stop and launch fighters to pursue.

They showed mostly new mechanisms added to ED and only very lightly touched new stuff added (like beluga and megaships). I'm not personally much excited with multicrew as it was presented in 2nd stream (I liked more 1st stream), but I believe there will be many new cool things for everyone to have more fun in play. I'm looking forward for 2.3

That's cool, if you think that's a mediocre update I can't convince you otherwise. But please remeber that almost everything on that list is stuff that people have been asking for since release, so far it looks it's the update that is closest to the communites wishes. So I think your opinion isn't very relevant in terms of how appealing that update is, doesn't mean it's invalid, just not very interesting to me.

I never said I diddnt like any of what you listed, In fact I like a lot off what is coming just not the headliners and at 7:50 in the morning I wasn't about to make a huge long listed post.

I said the commander creator was mediocre, not that I didn't like it, I have said on other threads that I do in fact like what they have done, in terms of the work, just not its implementation into the UI, and not the whole of 2.3, and I even said mega ships look cool.

I know its my opinion it was me posting it, do I care if anyone takes heed of it, no I dont, do I care if anyone finds it interesting. no I dont.

It was just me replying to a thread about something the CM hinted at that might be coming but as off yet is unknown to us and I was hopping it was/is going to be something better than what they have been banging on about for the last few weeks.

Why then am I bothering to make this post, I dont like being quoted out of context.

I think the CMDR Creator is first rate, been looking forward to this feature since it was mentioned and what FD has created has exceeded my expectations.
