First time I have ever seen one of these inside of the ring, like between the icebergs. To bad its the invading fleet's capital attack us.

Defending Forces: The Monarch of LHS 3006, The Confederacy of Vulcan, Federal Reclamation Co.

[Status report from the War for the Crown of LHS 3006]
After combat raged past the inside of the inner ring of Vulcan and into the space between the outer and inner ring the Capital Class Vessel was withdrawn by BD+47 2112 Holdings as victory appeared to be at hand. Little did they know though that the First Minister of The Confederacy of Vulcan had retreated early to gather allies. A general call went out across both public channels at the Pilots Federation and Radio Sidewinder as well as private diplomatic channels. Then in the early hours of the morning the Confederacy of Vulcan launch its first counter attack.
They dropped into the Conflict Zone and all was destroyed. BD+47 2112 Holdings had thoroughly seen to the demise of the forces of the Monarch of LHS 3006. The sparse few combat ready ships from the Monarchy of LHS 3006 were called to retreat and rest as the Confederacy of Vulcan were fresh for battle. However they were still greatly outmatched and harder still was the Vulcan's request for support had been turned against them as mercenary pilots had shown up to bolster the force of BD+47 2112 Holdings. All was not lost though as shortly into the fray one group answered the Vulcan call and the Federal Reclamation Co. burst in with far superior numbers and lead by the renown Commander Saber84. The mercenary force of BD+14 2112 were routed rather swiftly.
After hours of battle it took to a lull as BD+47 2112 Holdings clearly had under estimated the resolve of the Vulcan High Command. But the battle was far from over, as Federal forces withdrew temporarily and seeing this moment of weakness BD+47 2112 Holdings took command of the opportunity fielding a strong force. The Vulcans held tightly and routed this force again, this time with some Mercenaries of their own. The battle has taken to another lull, and now both sides seem to be resting for another series of strong blows but still the fighting continues about the rings of Vulcan.
After a brief rest in the main fighting BD+47 2112 Holdings fielded the FNS Indomitable and split the combat zone into two fronts. The Confederacy of Vulcan again pressed for foreign aid from the Empire and the Alliance who also happens to control the Opala Sector which LHS 3006 is part of. No answer was received and it looked dark for the Confederacy of Vulcan.
The Federal Reclamation Co was ready though and after a short rest the Confederacy of Vulcan formed up their wings again with them and took the fight to the Indomitable while the Monarchy of LHS 3006 diverted to the second High Intensity Conflict Zone. The indomitable with swiftly defeated by Commander Heydan Seegil of the Confederacy of Vulcan and Commander Skifton of the Federal Reclaimation CO, but was equally replaced and defeated again this time by a number of Vulcans and Federation pilots as their numbers started to pour in. The battle continues to rage on between the two conflict zones violently.

3304-14-3 The ambassador from the Alliance Office Of Statistics Commander Steven along with an entourage from Null contacted First Minister Heydan Seegil of the Confederacy of Vulcan to negotiate terms after admitting that the invasion was inadvertently started by the Alliance in it's attempt to trigger certain market effects. The talks between the two powers remained peaceful with the Confederacy of Vulcan. A formal peace has yet to be agreed upon as any agreement to the terms set by the Alliance must pass a vote within the Confederacy of Vulcan first. Officially the First Minister of Vulcan and the High Council refused to comment at this time stating that it is too early in the process to discuss at this time, but the Assembly of Vulcan is clearly split. Some seeing the Alliance pressure as their attempt to force the Confederacy of Vulcan into completing it's bidding under threat of force while others contemplate ways for the Confederacy of Vulcan to retain it's independence while still appeasing the war mongering Alliance.
3304-15-3 Upon hearing of the Alliance's pressure of the Confederacy of Vulcan the Federal Reclamation Co. contacted First Minister Heydan Seegil of the Confederacy of Vulcan to begin preliminary discussions of how to maintain peace in LHS 3006 with Federation support. Officially the First Minister and the High Council refused to comment at this time stating that it is too early in the process to discuss the finer details, but the future appears positive. On the war front a new Capital Class Vessel was spotted within the rings of Vulcan on the night-side of the planet, however the sighting has yet to be confirmed. It is being looked into and the Vulcan High Command ask pilots to send then any evidence they have of fleet movements.
3304-16-3 The war ended as BD+47 2112 Holding's funding crumbles. A treaty of terms is drafted and delivered to the Alliance Office of Statistics and NULL requesting that the Alliance stops threatening Vulcan space. The Federal Reclamation Co agree to backing the treaties without asking for return payment for their help from the Confederacy of Vulcan. The Alliance Office of Statistics Ambassador Stevens and NULL's Ambassador Outsidefactor refuse to take part in the blame even having previously stated that the Alliance was responsible for the incident, but rather they pass the blame off on the Terrain Colonial Force who so far have been absent in negotiations and are also a part of the Alliance. The Confederacy of Vulcan's First Minister Heydan Seegil requests that the terms for peace are delivered to the Terran Colonial Force if that is who the responsible party is.
3304-26-3 Ten days have passed and no response has been given by the Alliance to the terms offered by the Confederacy of Vulcan and the Federal Reclamation Co. At this point many Vulcans see the Federation as their allies, but no official alliance has been made. Banners once again stream down from the buildings of Asprin Palace on Vulcan of Zachary Hudson and the holo-image of Edward Mahon has been erased from the hanger advertisements database on Leonard Nimoy Station. The system having once been part of the Federation as little as a couple years ago have never been supportive of the Alliance who controls the sector by way of it's capital Opala, but this incident has surely damaged the image of the Alliance in LHS 3006.
