i don't live up there any more, and my wee brother moved over a town or 2 a few years back. but aye, it certainly looks a little war torn. it was a fine place back in the day, was originally within the borough of Stirling, but when it was passed over [screaming and kicking i heard] to Falkirk.. things continued on a down..

but of course, that's just the town.. the stones and facades, the bricks and mortar.. people are people, and you often find some of the finest folk living in the dourest of places.

Yep... The artwork is good, but the randomisation of people shows some right wierdos. Too many. Sometimes you get a real pretty girl (that you snap up), or a reasonable looking bloke, but most of the time it`s "What IS that?"


However, if the future gets sjw kind of crazy and keeps at it we will probably be seeing this as the norm in 50 years.

p.s. I prefer female Orcs actually looking like female orcs, including with big teats, not a green Human woman with a couple of deformed teeth!

So obviously FD wanted to use their asymmetrical feature and went OTT as is the reason so many have crooked mouths. They forgot to use a majority of non-crooked options as 1/4 is normal whilst 3/4 all have a possibility of having 3 variations on being crooked. I find this is not the case in life. Mostly 9/10 have more normal looking symmetry and that 1/10 has some form of crooked asymmetry and that 1/10 should be a random of their 3 variations of such.

So do we like seeing so many Mingers or would you prefer to have more of an elitist race of good looking people? If there are so many bad looking genes through gross incest evolution (as is well-known is small areas already) then we should have a race of engineered genes for the Elite and Wealthy. Also, we should see some forms of mutation as a reaction to Space Living and affects of radiation and Alien Artifacts.

Yes indeed, the vast majority of the NPC crew avatars are in fact, mingers.

"A face like a half-chewed caramel", in fact.

Here's my 2.2 crewmember, she's not too bad...

But I'm afraid that the 2.3 beta turned her into a minger :(

I'll post a before and after when 2.3 goes live - I had to self-destruct my ship in the 2.3 beta because I was far away from the bubble, and forgot to take the 2.3 beta screenie of the minger version.

I'll probably fire her when 2.3 goes live. :/

They don`t need to get rid of mingers totally, just reduce the amount by a good 3rd I`d say. I don`t think having just good-looking people actually helps either.

Lookup the meaning of mysogny. It's a hate towards gender solely and not to do with looks. Besides this is all about the random asymmetry not being balanced for good looking normal symmetry of both sexes.

Not misogyny in fact. Just the general scripted nature of the Descartes automatons wired to rate gene markers, protect the more competitive genes and eliminate the less advantageous. To what you said - yes and no. Yes it has no place in civilised order. Personally I try tomake the ugliest avatar a system will allow - usually quite a challenge to get something other than skinny androgynous teen model. When I was (briefly) on the PS3 shared world thing I waas the only one who stood out! Fat, old, beardy, sweatpants... Mirror mirror.

Sure a good mix is best. But what does the OP expect to gain by having "pretty young things"? How good is VR hese days?..

yes she loks quite nice, but that haircut and some other look very off on many faces, especially when the light comes form a different angle
