Hi all

Life has been pretty rubbish lately, last week I discovered I had leukaemia and I am stuck in hospital for a few months blasting my bone marrow. What's worse, I can't play my beloved Elite. I can't stand the thought of my Sidewinder gathering dust in Beagle 2 Landing.

Sorry to hear that. After going through a similar thing I can sympathise. I hope you get better soon.

My rather strange advice is try not to play any of your favourite computer games whilst you are undergoing treatment and are feeling unwell. I had to sell all of the games I played whilst I was ill, because I found they brought back sick feelings whenever I thought about playing them later and couldnt bear the sight of them. Same for any books I read when I was ill as well, had to get rid of them all. The mind is a strange thing. Weird but true.

So sorry to hear about your illness. Ironically my wife has been diagnosed with the same thing just this morning, so I know this is slim consollation to you but ED will be shelved for me too for the forseeable future ;-)
