General / Off-Topic Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland vs Turkey

The problem is not with the turks, as people, but with Edrogan. But because he is their leader? The problem is with turkey as nation.

I don't blame them in person, but i do blame Edrogan, and recognize the problem what Turkey means to us as a nation.

Very many Turks are admirers of Erdogan. So they are also guilty. Edit : The Turks who support Erdogan are unbearable. The problem is with a large part of Turks as people. I blame them in person

Old-school discrimination. Shame on you.

Understand the sense of the sentences to begin, before wanting to play the moralists. I talked about the admirers of Erdogan who are very, very numerous. They are unbearable (Half of the voters to the last legislative in 2015 for the Islamic conservative party)

Edrogan knows how to fool the people's heart. I don't blame them because of it but i do think they are stupid if let someone fool them like this.

I'd report him, but I'd have to unblock for that.

Shame on you! I just let the mod's work, and don't hurt anybody because of personal feelings and agendas. (until you not stupid enough to rattle the chains of ares, and thats it!) That's another story! After all, a tactical strike is better than an all out war right? But peace? that's even better.

You could say "The people who support Erdogan are unbearable." You chose to say "The Turks are unbearable.". There is no ambiguity here. These are very simple sentences, with very simple meanings. There is no 'sense of the sentences'. If you didnt mean to say what you said, please just edit the post and be done with it. If you insist on saying that, there is no other word for it other than just plain old discrimination. And in case you are wondering, it actually is a big deal to me. A good friend of mine belongs to 'the Turks'. She's also Alevi, and her family has and still does suffer from what the likes of Erdogan do. Its important to make the distinction. And every time we are careless about it we give fuel to hate-mongers. I know its a PITA but its important. Or at least to me.

And no, I am not going to report you because I dont believe in that. I would appreciate if you rectified that post if you were careless in your phrasing. If you ment to say "People who support Erdogan are disgusting a-holes who should go suck a lemon" say that, rather than what you did. But its up to you. Freedom of speech and all that. :)

Don't waste your time on him. Useless. and trust me, you haven't seen as much of his actions and word twisting responsibility evading as we do.

Excuse my English, I am French and difficult to write with the translator. I thought that the meaning when I speak of the admirers of Erdogan was explicit. And you are not the only one to know Turks in your entourage ... And since you have a technocrat mentality I will edit my post for your enjoyment

:)

Ah, Its hard to keep in mind that not everyone I speak to online is a native-speaker. If you didnt mean to refer to all Turks, but rather just those who supported that deplorable idiot then lets drop the subject. There are enough real topics one can disagree on without keeping misunderstandings alive. :)

Lets not be harsh. If he says he means Erdogan supporters and not all Turks, lets go with that. After all, none of us ever met and misunderstandings can happen when people speaking different languages talk online in the middle of the night. :)

For now... But you just keep continuing your usual thing without change.
Well... Have it your way than. As i said it's just don't worth a flame war, and i don't see any reason of it. Not because you are cool, but because you rendered more or less harmless.

Watch and learn you will understand. Until than? keep your distance. He have too much of this kind of misunderstandings and evasions to be a coincidence.

I made a seperate topic for the Dutch elections here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/337464-Dutch-elections?p=5283620#post5283620

As for Turkey: EU stands behind the Netherlands so far against Erdogan's hysterical provocations. The last few days he's called us s, a banana-republic, accused us of actively 'slaughtering thousands of muslims' and so on. He can go suck a lemon.
I said yesterday, he would make it about religion. I just hope that there are more people in this world, that have straight forward common sense; than those who simply become sheep; whatever their faith colour of greed.

In a place where being the opposition, backing the opposition or being seen or heard opposing the government, can get people locked up, or worse. If 'the man' gives them the nations flag and tells them to wave it; they wave it. That crowd means nothing, to be blunt; it may not be fake news, but it IS fabricated, arranged by the state, for most of those people to be there.

You are excessive. We are not in North Korea here. But in a NATO country and a country which asks to join the EU. And where the people have access to international media and openness to the world. In France a quarter of the population supports Marine Le Pen. They are not manipulated by the politicians, they have the conviction of their thoughts as in Turkey I think, where 50% of the population voted for Erdogan in the 2015 to the legislative elections

:)

A quarter seems a bit exagerated. Well, a lot. I won't deny that she gained some weight, mostly thanks to the socialist (and I'm using the word very loosely here) mandate, but I believe that elections will show -hopefully once and for all- polls true nature: a despicable, unrepresentative, opinion twisting and invading scam, and that the trend should stop.

As for Lepen not manipulating her electors, come on. She manipulates them, alright. Asking Lepen supporters the reasons why they would vote for her often shows how delusional they are, and how disappointed they'd be if their champion was to win the elections.

Le pen is exactly the same breed as Erdogan.
