Mass Effect 4

I have like 3 hours under and so far, i like. Have to play the rest of the 10 hour Play First tomorrow.. Andromeda, you got me hooked. :D

Cant Play finish Mass Effect 3 , it seems the DLC you paid for are an 'entitlement'.

One day ME3 DLC all working , next day nothing. Are EA turning off DLC ?

FROM EA SUPPORT

1. CCleaner - https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-to-use-ccleaner-to-fix-pc-issues ( I never use CC as it can stuff up WIN 10 )

It is important you follow all the steps in the above link and once this is done, please also carry out the following -

2. Manually Uninstall Origin http://help.ea.com/en/article/manually-uninstalling-origin/

3. Install Origin https://www.origin.com/en-ie/download My internet is 1.2 Mpbs on average , so main game plus all the DLC would take ages to download

Once this is done, I will need you to reply back to me where I do the rest by removing your ME3 entitlements and granting a new one

Thank you again for your patience while we work on your issue.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
I don't have Origin Access (not paying for that), so I'll try this on release day. I'm hoping the initial bad press is a tiny bit overblown. :) Thanks to all who are playing it now and sharing your thoughts.

Could be a key-thing on their end.

Indeed. I echo this also. Very much appreciate the non spoiler thoughts here of those that chose to become the forum "canary" for this one.

It's very popular to rag on Bioware titles, and to my eye it just looks like these major video game sites are taking the populistic approach. I've found the game to be very enjoyable thus far. As for bad writing...well, it seems to me that most people are far less loquacious than the characters in "well written" games. The people in Andromeda sound no worse and in most cases somewhat better than everyday folk. To be honest, I'd probably yell out "Speedbump!" if I ran over an opponent too.

P.S. that guy from RPS is full of it. The fact that he liked ME3's ending and likened The Witcher 3 to "eating cardboard" makes me value his opinion very little.

Remember this?

This was a decade ago. Now look how far both names in the bottom row have made it. :D

Says a lot about John Walkers RPS opinion of this really. He only gets a hard on these days over quirky little indie titles. How he can think that witcher 3 is a sub par game is beyond me but I suppose it takes all sorts to make the world how it is.

I'm feeling a lot happier about this now I've seen views here and elsewhere. It does have its downsides and bugs etc but appears to be a solid entry overall.

Thats the thing for me. Hardcore gamers these days tend to overblow the slightest shortcomings of any AAA title just get into to talk via social media, forums and whatever. Gathering likes or upvote seems far more fun then just enjoying some entertainment product. Several gaming sites adopt these behavior by publishing overcritical articles and gaining attention by being "the critique". The whole gaming media in general is just messed up. You only have Black & White comparisons, nuanced opnions dont sell ads. But what makes me most sad about this that gamers are parroting this stuff as you can even see in this thread. RPS reviewers post articles for instances and 2 -3 posts down the line you go the first reply :"oh well too bad, ill wont buy in because what the first reviewer said".

Is building an own opinion so hard these days? More fear of not belonging to the hive mind ? im just trying to play some video games in my free time and this stuff is putting way too much political bull into this entertainment.

Not everybody has enough money to buy all games to build an opinion on all games to decide on which game he should spend his money :D

Imo we have tons options now to save money. Origin Trials and Steam refunds makes enjoying games are far less risky bet these days. Also Steam sales are a thing, most games tend to go on sale for very low prices not long after they have been released. Last week I just bought the witcher 3 for 15 €. That a steal to me.

I know, I was just making a bit of fun :p

I mean you said people should make there own opinion right after you critized there opinion. You can have a opinion of a game without having played it, I never spend money on a game withouth having a opinion on it first. why would I?

Now youre taking my post a bit out of context :p Nowhere did I imply having an opinion means buying the game. You can form an opinion through streamers, multiple reviewers and of course playing a trial. I was referring to very special case here where one negative review got posted as the first publicly available and suddenly half of the internet jumps on it like parrots. Cant be taken serious.
