Is there a reason why there aren't any class 1 Plasma Accelerators in the game?
This in regards to 2.3 small ships vs the biggies.
 
Question:

Will a type of multicrew for small ships be made available for mentoring, that allow the pilot to fly the ship but have a second ( or even third ) person to join the "crew" but see out of the pilots position ( because it is a small ship ) but then allow a pilot to mentor or be mentored in that ship. Right now the small ships lose out on all the possible third person camera shots that the multicrew ships have with the extra crew being on board in telepresence.

Having a new pilot in a sidewinder, but then have an experenced pilot seeing what they see and talking to them on voice, or just cameras for machinima would be very useful

Hi there from a member of Eol Prou Group! I have a question about new SRV's, when they will be? And one more. Will there be some new gameplay for explorers? Like finding big deposits of minerals on the planets, mapping the surface, magnetic/gravitational anomalies(not with some mysteries, just some unmatching with standart data) etc. And yet one more(don't want to be annoying, but the questions are coming out on their own at the moment when im writing this post :) ) Will there be some changes to the behavior of prominences of regular stars, they are not so dangerous as jets from neutron stars/white dwarfs, but they definetly must some effect on the ship, even in supercruise.

P.S: Please make accreation disks to Black Holes/Neutron Stars/White Dwarfs/Young Stars, even to some regular stars, as fast as you can, it will give an extra 1000000% to immersion :)

Have there been any thoughts about allowing weaponless ships to have the ability to have stronger shields, compared to a fully kitted out combat ship? Lets say that shieldbooster stacking is affected by how many hardpoints you equip. So, a weaponless cargo hauler can have stronger shields because there is more energy to divert to the shields.

Slone (Forums): Could we have a "spectator/embedded reporter" mode dedicated to using the camera suite, that wouldn't necessarily use a chair, allowing for more players to join and watch? No plans at present but depends on how people respond to the current set. Possibly in the future depending on technical capabilities.

Question 1: Will we ever get NPC crew-mates sitting next to us? Even if its just for aesthetic reasons?

1) New SRVs question has already been added to the list: cryptek66 (Reddit): Any plans for new SRV types soon? (HaTeMe: Skimmer tech hover bike would be awesome?)
2) New exploration gameplay has already been added: DelayedReality (ForumsQ&A thread): What are your (FD) current plans and (very) rough for future exploration updates and content, i.e. improved Mechanics for scouting surfaces and interesting stellar POI's as well as any additional exploration bulletin board missions?
3) Updates to other stars: Alexbrentnall (Forums): Any truth to the rumour that other star types will get the same treatment that NS/WD got in 2.2?

Sorry but in 309 questions ones as broad as exploration mechanics are bound to have been picked up. Thanks anyway, hopefully some of the above get answered tomorrow.

Although I believe the answer is that it doesn't need power pips to weapons so it can have all 6 pips in Sys/Eng also it doesn't need as big a powerplant... Not that the powerplant matters so much anymore with engineers, It's only really the Vulture that matters on that now..

An Efficient Refinery where I can pre-select what the refinery should throw way and what to keep, or Smart Limpets that can ignore Materials, so I don't have to get "No Space for Materials" warning every 10 minutes of mining. :)
 
Where is Elite heading in terms of Graphics API? Vulkan or DX12? DX12 would force me to abandon Elite down the line, which would be rather sad, because I'm very happy with the game in it's current state.

What is the reasoning behind the choice to not allow Muticrew players to earn faction rep? Given if a Gunner and Fightercon are bounty hunting and gaining the same pay as a wing would, it stand to make sense that they should also earn the same rep a wing would since they are still active in the system, attacking the same targets they would be if they had brought their own ships.

Sort of answered in the last livestream as: "Multicrew was designed to be an in/out process with credits/bounties&fines as the only reward/loss"

Let me know if you still want it added, I'll probably keep the list running as an open questions repository. As thats a multicrew section question I would bet it wouldn't get answered tonight anyway as there's over 300 questions on the list and I'm sure Sandro won't be answering for 4hrs+ :)

POWERPLAY: Any new content for Powerplay in 2.3, eg. new and different ways merits can be obtained, maybe even Powerplay missions?

Can we please beg you to consider putting in the ability to hand over helm control in "exploration" sessions? Explorers desperately want this. Can you at least agree to not rule it out?
 
OK, I guess I have one - at the PAX Q&A the question of the increasingly unpopular comm's panel re-design was raised and Sandy said they were aware of the situation and might consider changing it. We've had a few beta updates since then with no changes to the panel. What's the current state of play? (I'm genuinely dreading 2.3 going live with this as it currently stands - sorry).

Q: In mining, we used to get more fragments per asteroid (fpa) in RES when mining in a wing, up to 60-80 fpa compared to 38-50 fpa when mining solo in the same RES. It was a good reason to wing up for mining in RES, and we naturally assumed it was an intended mechanic to promote playing together.

In beta, this seems to be gone, the number of fragments stays at 38-49 no matter how many people in a wing. Was there any particular reason for this? Any chance it can be brought back?

Is there a chance that multi crew will become a 'real' presence thing? The telepresence is good fun, but is for crewmen a no risk option.

I'm concerned also that in beta testing last night, I found no crews to join and when setting up my own ship for multicrew it was a good while before anyone joined me. Previously I have seen quite a few helms looking for crew and when setting up as a helm, crew where signing up in seconds.
Do you think having crew will be popular in the long term?
Is more content relating to this being considered?

Sorry another question.
I feel the point of view for the gunner role is rather disconnected.
Do you thing it would be better if you could see it from a turret pov and only restricted to directions turret position can see? Ie there would be blindspots gunner could not see.
