THE FORMIDINE RIFT MYSTERY (Part 4)

I've gone up as far as I can go above the EAFOTS settlements without Jumponium (About 250LY) and not found any earth likes at the moment. I highly doubt I should need to use Jumponium to find beacons, but it is worth noting that there are a lot of G class stars in the EAFOTS sector about 700-750LY up, which are entirely unreachable.

I'm going to hang around this level as there are a few stars up here to investigate, but I suspect our beacons and content are not up quite this high.

Next I'm going to try drawing a line from the EAFOTS bases and follow it up as far as I can. I think that will end up back in Myoidee before I run out of stars.

I'm thinking that everything should be within 200LY of the bases tbh, as that's the area we were given to investigate in the CG, and the bases themselves are really close together by that comparison.

I'm doing the total opposite of you, I'm 1300LY below the abandoned settlements, I'm starting to come across newly discovered Neutron stars down here. I started focusing on these as I thought one of the expeditions last report was from a Neutron star, so thought it was a clue, but then realised it was from the conflux expedition.

When does 2.3 go live? I'm slightly worried that new content and discoveries will occur in the Pleiades, I just hope the Formidine Rift isn't overlooked on the next release.

Or wait for 2.3 to release. We're supposed to be getting an asteroid base around the H&S nebulae. I haven't played the beta enough to visit it yet.

When 2.3 beta dropped, my save was near H&S. Nice base. Does have a UC, but no shipyard (nor outfitting, IIRC). Sold the data, destructed and tried out MC. Nice. Can't wait for the base IRG.

So it's confirmed!!

Salome and Raan are both still alive:

From a non-RP POV ... I'm just interested in the story. Reclamation isn't just a good ELITE novel ... it's a damn good sci-fi novel. Someone needs to shop it to Netflix or Amazon and get them to develop it into a miniseries.

Of course. I would not questions peoples involvement as players. It's fun! And it's there for everyone. It was indeed the RP angle I was interested in (assuming there is one at all).

But have a virtual +1 all the same, as more people need to say more insightful things for me to rep before I can give some more to you.

Hello, first post on the forums. o7

Need a little help. I recently took my new Anaconda out into the Rift for a test-run. Visited the abandoned sites and heading home now. Something strange just happened.
I normally fly about 20 jumps and then land on a random moon for a break. This time, while approaching, i got frame per second drop like i normally get in the bubble while approaching worlds with settlements. i aimed for a big mountain and when i dropped from glide, i was hanging there for quite a few seconds. This never happened before out here.

Since i read that some of these settlements where found by exploiting loading times, i wanted to ask if that can happen randomly, or if something might be here.
If thats the case, i don't really know what to do :)

I guess this is a hint that we should all buy some meta alloys! As for the bounty. Really? 500K? That's how much you offer for the most wanted person in the galaxy? I won't even take a 1 jump 5 minute delivery mission for that kinda chump change. Bloody cheap imperials.

Who is Tsu Annabelle Singh? Surely I am not the only one left wondering if a new angle is being introduced here? Junior Alliance Operative? Uh huh.
Are we seeing an intergalactic all star team being propped up by Salome from the Empire, Raan from the Federation,Tsu from the Alliance?

They could be in California nebula, in one of the Turner Research bases... Raan Corsen disappeared in Alioth, if i'm not mistaken. The clue about a missing old Cobra in Col 70 seems too obvious.

I notice that there's another mention of 'core' in this latest Galnet story about Salome. I don't know how much or what to read into that but it has a 'Drew sends a hint to the Rifters' vibe.
.
My combat/explorer Python, the Beyond Twilight's Veil, stands ready if Salome requires assistance. Not that she'll need it, I suspect. Not yet, anyway.

Repeat to see if its a consistent effect, then report your conclusions, together with system details & evidence if possible. ;)

Well, since Kahina seems to have fled core worlds with Alliance operative, does it mean she is at Mic Turner's research base then?

Sadly it took more than an hour for my post to appear. I moved on already after scouting the area close to the mountain with my fighter.

The moon is: NGC 457 Sector TJ-Y d1-8 2 c a

The coordinates after my first drop were about -37 / 160

The mountains can't be missed if anyone goes looking. They are Everest like and the moon is small.

I guess due to this being my first post this was delayed so much :(
