I guess they managed to build a meta-drive from the alloys and are currently stuck in Col 70 sector.
Perhaps they need more MA to get out?

Sadly it took more than an hour for my post to appear. I moved on already after scouting the area close to the mountain with my fighter.
The moon is: NGC 457 Sector TJ-Y d1-8 2 c a
The coordinates after my first drop were about -37 / 160
The mountains can't be missed if anyone goes looking. They are Everest like and the moon is small.
I guess due to this being my first post this was delayed so much

Welcome to the Rift! The hangs (CTD) were occuring over a wide area not necessarily in the region of the FR settlements. So the mountains may or may not win again, in this scenario. If there is something on that object, it'd be cool to track it down. Might have to head that way sometime soon.

But notice which player isn't mentioned? Sirius. Sirius had a hostile takeover of MetaDrive. Wreckon(?) isn't a subsidiary of Sirius by chance, is it?
2.3 needs to hurry up and land so I can bring my new suped up Clipper out to the Rift.
Not a subsidiary but they have strong business ties. Undoubtedly Sirius is involved with whatever is happening in col 70
So who is going to try and find Salomé to help her, and who is going to hunt her and cash in on the bounty? I'm guessing Col 70 is getting a lot of commanders trying to poke around, would be making whoever is responsible for the unknown permit sweat no doubt haha.
Also does anyone care to speculate on who the other two of the five individuals are? I suspect Luko and Hassan for obvious reasons.

They seem to have their dirty little fingers in a lot of this stuff but are smart enough to let the feds and Imps take the brunt of the public scrutiny.

There was that recent news blurb about a distress signal from the Col 70 sector. Or maybe she's gone off to the Rift. If I were her ... and needed to start a new life ... I'd head to Colonia.

She is not a quitter, I doubt that she is actually fleeing, she has the meta-alloys, and she wants to use them for something...
I'm half way between Sol and Rift trying to mark as many new neutron stars as possible to make frequent travel easier, maybe she will bump into me

500,000cr bounty? 500,000 credits? I wouldn't hunt down my worse enemy for 500,000 credits. Back when I was playing as CMDR Fionn Mac Cumhaill last year I garnered a personally bounty against myself in LTT 4961 of over 10 million credits. And I was never as notorious as Kahina Loren.
The empire really needs to sweeten that pot if they expect someone to bite.

Yeah I have to say I myself have racked up millions in bounties before I mastered silent running (damn UA's and UP's) so the offer isn't very tempting. Especially given that it would take quite the bounty hunter to track her down and take her out. There is always those that seek only glory of course, credits mean very little to some. She should be found regardless. I thought it may be related to Col 70 what with the apparent distress call from a cobra class vessel, but on reflection maybe Col 70 isn't the place to look.
Im probably thinking about it too much, and its probably just a coincidence but Perry Hussein was mentioned in the article (about distress call in Col 70). The name Hussein is a diminutive form of the name Hassan. Could the article be a ruse? It was pretty convenient timing, and would be a brilliant move of misdirection.

With the difficulty in getting large quantities of MA nowadays I sincerely hope the MDrive does not use them as consumables/fuel!!
More likely they were attacked & now need rescuing. The trouble is without another MDrive, how to get in there to find them, though I think Thatchinho has managed it. Alec Turner reported using 69 Lambda EridNis to get out of being trapped there, while Goemon reported Rigel, Spirograph Nebula, V380 Orionis, EZ Orionis are good waypoints to come around col 70 sector.
I have a different take on events. It seems to me that Feds & Alliance are both deeply implicated in the plot that Salome & co are trying to uncover, while the Alliance are not actively involved but do have some inside knowledge ofevents, presumably through intelligence operatives like Ms Singh. That's why ex-president Halsey has gravitated towards them, & it seems possobly also Salome. I think the Alliance are going to be the good guys. I do hope the flower ships are Alliance research based on Thargoid technology they reverse engineered from the previous war, to make up for their lack of ships & rankings, though I am a bit dubious this is the plot that FD are working on. Time will tell.

Has anybody been out to Col 70 sector since the report of a cobra being destroyed? I know Col 70 is locked but not the sector but haven't seen anything about it. I didn't as I expected CoR to be there as quick as they could.
I know for a fact there are many out there looking, but I'm not personally at the moment. As far as I know nothing has turned up yet.

A few mates and I were talking about how fitting and awesome it would be for the alliance to whip out a fleet of ships in the alien design. Watch the galaxy flock to become mates with them then, as if they weren't already powerful enough! With ships and naval ranks they would dominate the galaxy.
