Trip to Beagle Point in a Cutter.... :)

Well after the round trip to Eagle Nebula, Colonia and Sagittarius A then back home ( just over 65,000 lys)

I now have the bug so i'm already planing a trip to Beagle Point, But to make it more fun i'm going to do it in a Cutter...

I have the load out all worked out to build when i get back to the Bubble, I managed to get a 36.28ly jump range so i think i'm all good.

Will update when i have it built with pic's and final spec.

.... As for the Power Dis i don't have the means to have it Modded.
...
The Dweller has that mod and isn't very hard to gain access to. A level 1 mod is all you need (+5%) to get boost on that 5D PD.
As for the 5A Power Plant option, you seem to have more power than you need, even if you don't drop down to the 6D thrusters, but it is nice to not have to worry about power management.

For explorer Cutters, I'd recommend doing some lightweight life support mods too. You need Lori Jameson for the best (G4), but Bill Turner also does it till G3. Given that the Cutter's life support is rather heavy (32 T when D-rated), this can get you some nice mass savings. Of course, the Cutter isn't sensitive to that, but it's nice to save enough weight to add a 5D fighter hangar in there. However, if you're far from unlocking either engineer, then I doubt it would be worth the effort just for these mods.

In addition, once 2.3 goes live, the sensors can be modded light weight as well.

Thanks For the pointers Marx it all helps... :)

I'm at the Beagle Point with my 33ly (34ly on fumes) Cutter. Only place where I had to do some manual plotting with jumponium was Svenno crossing. And some guys travelled to Beagle Point in a Cutter before the Engineers. So I believe you'll be fine! :)

Edit. I only have 33ly range, because my Cutter is combat capable in hopes to meet alien aggressors. I've met none yet though. :D

Going to park up at the end of every stint just for a bit more fun..... :)

Here's my Anaconda Explorer. It's A-rated with all the toys (fighters, SRVs, mining, weapons) in case one gets bored along the way. It might provide you a few more outfitting ideas. Of course you have explorer experience and my Annie hasn't left the bubble yet! It's more about the 5000LY engineer requirement for now.

Also here's my A-rated Cutter Trader that still gets 28LY jump range. Adding weight to a Cutter doesn't lower the jump range a lot which is one of it's advantages. Trying to take it off to max the jump range to go to Beagle Point makes it a disadvantage!

Well day two

all is good i am now over 2,000ly from home and i am starting to see some systems i can put my name on...

i've also been landing on some planets to collect some Met's for some Jumponium leaps if needed when i'm close to Beagle Point.

:D

Day Three...

I'm now over 3,000lys from home, Have spent most of my time today mining planets for met's i now have enough for 21 25% Jumponium jumps, 20 50% Jumponium jumps and 4 100% Jumponium jumps... So not a bad day at all.

I need to find some Arsenic and Polonium... anyone know what type of Planets would have them...?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Flying around looking for Met's..... :)

Day Four.

Well I'm at More than 5,000lys from home and now starts the proper Exploration as most of the systems i go to now are first's so having much more fun now and have found some cool stuff including 2 Water Worlds.... No prob's with the ship all 100%...

Still looking for some Polonium :( anyone have any ideas...?

Try filtering for class K stars only. Just for a few 100 ly until you find a land-able planet with polonium.

Are you a member of EDSM ? You can see some jumponium systems on their galaxy map. Especially on the route towards BP. I always use ED-Discovery and send my data to EDSM while traveling.
