Mass Effect 4

22 hours played so far and what surprises me in the game is the quality and beauty of the ambiance on each planet. Simply fantastic.

And with many secondary missions that entertain and make you explore every corner of them.

I'm sold here take my money :D

I pickup my copy at the weekend...I'm a fan of the series anyway but those snaps got repped fer being my midweek shiny [yesnod]

Not long now...just two more sleepy times ^

I have a lot of hours in ME:A, and I will say that I'm floored by the size of the planets and the amount of missions to do. If there are around 100 planets, I'm hosed, as I'm only completely done with 1 (I think).

A big YES for the gameplay, plenty of missions of all differing types, the dialog and VA came into its own after the first mission, plus lots of combat opportunities and great grafix. Putting it to the hardcore level, the ai comes after you. WOOT All the negative reviewers must be just stuffed from eating so much crow. A very refreshing change to the "Trilogy"

Nice to see more people enjoying it here after that bile of reviews from the professional media. This really is good. Sure it's different to the last series but isn't that the point when it's boiled down. I ho0e it sells well and they go on to make more in this spin off.

Check Andromeda Viability screen, so about 5 bigger ones.

Was excited for the 4th installment, loved the first three. Just from the game play videos both serious and comical, I think I will wait for the bargain bin 5 or 6 months down the road. Very glad I didn't preorder, bioware isn't seeing a penny from me for a long time.

i'm on the other side of the fence, i did preorder and after reading all the bad press leading up to release day, i thought i had bought another lemon. yes the facial anims are often inappropriate or weird for their context, but as an overall game it has been interesting so far with only one crash.

i'm still on Eos so there's plenty of time for Bioware to patch anything rotten before i get there

Has anyone figured out an easy way to do those stupid alien sudoku puzzles, or where to get the override things, they are the only thing i absolutely despise about the game!

I've been stuck on one on the ice planet for ages and it's kind of sucking the fun out of the game for me. If I'd have wanted to play sudoku I'd have brought a newspaper, not a £50 action RPG!

Google is your friend. I don't mind sudoku but I dislike the time spent solving some of them when I only get limited time to play with life.

The videos are not representative of the game in its vast majority. There are some flaws but they are few and far between in my experience. I dreaded hitting the install button and finding that what the videos showed was pervasive throughout ruining the game. I can't get enough now the game leaves me wanting more when I shut it down and that's something any game should aim for.

Just finished the main story. Game is easily as good as any of the games from the Original Trillogy. Far far too many people viewing the original series through rose-tinted glasses if they can't see that.

all puzzles solved :D

I cancelled my preorder after playing the 10h demo because if the most fun part on ME game is a combat, there is something wrong lol, but eventually one of my friends got me a copy so now I play MP for a most time.
After disappointment with DA: Inquisition and now with mediocre ME game its bye bye for Bioware from me, at least for the guys from Montreal studio...

Completely agree. Easily as good. I am not a huge fan of the open world thing in general but this really isn't bad there's enough focus in the main missions/side missions/loyalty missions/planetary missions to off set the annoyance of scanning generic mineral/animal etc 10 times.

While some of the game play mechanics seem interesting and the combat looks good. The biggest complaint I have heard from friends and critics is the predictable lacklust story and the subpar voice acting. Combine that with the animations and those are things I just cant overlook, at least not at the $60 asking price. Like $10 maybe and that's being generous.

See I think that's a fallacy also. The voice acting isn't Witcher 3 quality but after the first planet it gets much better certainly as good as the last series of ME. I have high standards when it comes to this aspect of any game. It's really not bad at all.

By all means wait for a sale but i wouldnt want people to miss out just because others make massive generalisations based on the trial. The rest of the game is of a high standard I think. I'm about 30 hours in and massively enjoying it.

The problem with the game is just that. Many people are playing it just by the opinions of others and by youtube / gifs

The game is just great.

The game is just great.

I find it has too much talking to wade through and then combat's quite dull. I quite liked setting the first outpost up and the most interesting side mission I've found is setting up the radio broadcast system. I prefer the freedom and ease of play in Elite. Mass Effect I tried to play for 20 minutes one night this week and I just sat through several conversations. Different strokes and all that!

Got my copy a wee bit earlier than I expected, installing now as I write this...soon see fer meself how accurate the so called expert games critics are. Interesting to note that good m8 of mine insisted the game was gonna be rubbish and that graphics glitches simply wouldn't be tolerated...guys been addicted as hell all week and wont discuss his earlier comments...funny stuff...not long to go upto 25% now feel like a kid in a sweetshop ^
