Stream sniped and griefed while showing a newbie how to fly

getting a bounty on your head is a joke, I once had a million credit bounty on my head for pvping in nanomam, and the npcs could do nothing to me, I wasn't even in a vette, I was in a DBX! Frontier, make bounties more challenging to survive with, add more tactics to security npcs, instead of a single viper interdicting you maybe have ambush style interdictions, like the threat level 3 USS'

Greifers are trash and need to be taught a little lesson in manners.

But it's not a solution to the underlying problem.

If the underlying problem is "Uninvited people interfering with your private teaching session", then it's the absolutely perfect solution. You have the power to decide who can, and can not join.

3/10 ganking.

Could have been more creative for the first gank. Point actually deducted for second gank...take out noob sidey with SLF from afar? There were possibilities man, there were possibilities...

They could have created a private group for themselves, with the added bonus of wasting gankers' time who think they will find them just to find nothing at the destination.

So.........Not stream sniped then....

The sidey streamed. The sidey got sniped by a corvette using the stream.

This is a perfect example of stream sniping a harmless sidey. Its about as low as you can go within the rules of the game.

It is absurd how easy it is to get away with wanton destruction, and how minor the consequences are anyway. I don't think anyone should play in Open unless that changes.

Or maybe ED is just a scheme to keep sadists off the streets. Maybe it's working.

Errr...your in Open? Broadcasting your location via a stream.
At the mercy of every peckerhead worldwide that has a computer?
And we are surprised by the result?

I just keep being surprised at these posts about Open.
What did you think was going to happen?
If you expand that argument you can see how silly it is. The fact that griefing is predictable, doesn't make it acceptable. Just as an example "All politicians are corrupt, therefor corruption is acceptable". And by griefing I don't mean PvP. Some griefers are just abusive, and the game simply allows that. Moreover, the game often punishes you for being ganked by loosing credits on insurance, loosing bounties, exploration data, cargo, and sometimes even sending you to the last station where you were at, no matter how far that is. Insurance costs could be lower when killed by another player, this way PvP could be a financially bearable thing to do, and being griefed a bit less as painful.

If you broadcast your location to a large number of people, then expect to broadcast to at least one pennis. That's part of what broadcasting means. Strangers don't care what you find 'acceptable'. Or any other feelings.

Hehe. Silly? Who is the silly one here?
It's OPEN. Working as intended apparently.

If you think this is a mindset isolated to ED...*chuckles*

The only difference being ED is a game.

Oh hang on, that's a pretty substantial difference :D

This stuff happens. Not only does it happen, it's been stated that FD see this as an intentional part of gameplay.

Get dem big boy boots on and handle in-game events within the game.

Come on, why is every little encounter in ED community called griefing? Ganking is dishonest and unfair, agreed, but this isn't unexpected in any open PvP game... but for me calling a ganker a griefer is comparable to calling a thief a murder IRL?! ED has very little potential for real griefing as you can experience it in other games.

Honestly what for you want FD to do in regard to the stream?

I mean sure there should be consequences but still this was like 70% his fault

Well if he was one of the chosen few, frontier could wave around the EULA and empty threats of shadowbanning like they did when they got attacked.

Ah, again with the trusty "PK'ers are mentally disturbed" rubbish.
