Just use the HUD Brightness Slider. It really does not have to reside on default. It also does not need to stay on one setting always which is why it is in your HUD. Less of the auto crap please. These kind of folk already added the defaming auto brightness on planets.

The devs won't see this anyway. OP's got them all on mute.

Mmm... totally not trying to sound like a bit of a you-know-what here (probably may come across that way so sorry in advance) but maybe try turning the brightness down a little on the screen? It worked for me :D

i like the idea of user defined blinds .... you know , half way down the field of view.... :D

The cockpit glass already feels extremely tinted...you can be right next to a star and not fry your eyes like you would bacon the morning after binge drinking.

Back in 2017 my spectacles would automatically increase tint when the sun was real bright... but the technology was different back then.

Because all that work by developers to have the background realistically fade back into view when your eyes readjust after the blinding sun is easier than steering your ship? Go away.

Yes, because tinting a small piece of glass is exactly the same as a very, very large one. Light hitting it from any direction, regardless of if it's hitting you or not, would trigger blinds. May as well just paint your whole canopy black.

Oh hey, we also use lasers. And lasers, by their nature, are a little bit bright.

I always put on my sunglasses when i'm about to drop out of witchspace and start scooping.

Simple fix for this OP!

1) Wait in entrance to station
2) When "loitering" warning appears, ignore it
3) Wait for station to murder you
4) No more bright lights!
