Horizons Credit transfer.

Just buy gold and dump it via cargo hatch, the other player can retrieve it and sell it. Should think in a lawless system it won't be classed as illegal salvage if you get penalised for picking it up.

If the cargo is 'abandoned' instead of 'jettisoned', it will not be marked as stolen by the other player picking it up, even in a non-anarchy system.

Edit: still, you have to be careful not to drop any cargo within the no fire zone of a station, as you will be fined for dumping.

Shortest thread ever.

Yea I think the dev's gave some forethought to this to "try" to make everyone work for their credits. This is E D and not Freelancer (What? Yea I get that a lot) which allowed you to transfer money, goods & equipment between ships. I'm new to E D but I believe, since we do it anyway, they should have a system where ships can temporarily dock with each other to do exchanges and such.

You could always penalize both ships in time and vulnerability so they would be a prime target in unfriendly space or subject to extra scans by the local authorities.

Well, you can transfer cargo. All you need is a bit of time, or a collector limpet.

Just a word of caution, if too close to a station you get a littering fine 5k (I think) if beyond that you can only have 20 at a time in space. Well away from the station (after an SC away) the limit is more but even so if you exceed those limits the cargo just explodes.

So the only way you can help a noob, or bud is to throw out the trash, and they get to dumpster dive.
Humanity sure has advanced

Or rather than going with a nonsensically easy to exploit in-game mechanic... you could perhaps tutor them and actually give a little of your time to their advancement rather than an easy hand out. perhaps "HELP" is more than money and "GRATITUDE" is more than cash!

Just a thought.

Seems to me there is a bit of a conundrum about transferring cargo. I thought this short talk was about transferring cash.
How come cargo explodes after a while. And escape pods don't but you aren't allowed to rescue those poor innocents who have been consigned to a slow and lonely death out in the void.

Oh! Did I say I like short threads?
I think I did. Better check.
Ah, yes, I did.
