Here. Ah'll put it in another bit o' the crossword:-

The cluee direction didn't phase me at all, it's the clue I'm struggling with.

I keep thinking of Alex Lester's "Best Time of the Day" early morning show on Radio 2, where they had a super-hero called "The Sock" and drivers would place a sock on their vehicles aerial to show their support for the show.
