Goodbye Beagle Point ... Hello Sagittarius A*

Well, I made it to Beagle Point over a week ago and have been messing around collecting mats, visiting nearby systems, etc.

But now I hear the Call of the Black again, so I'm setting off for Sagittarius A*.

I think I'll follow the DWE path in reverse, so hope to see some of you out there.

Fly safe ... o7

Good travels, CMDR o7

I am drifting back from BP2 - about 3/4000 lys from there along the old DWE route. You will probably overtake me as I do rather travel slowly. I play in the Fleetcomms private group if you want to meet up?

Cool.

I've just joined Fleetcomm so I'll keep any eye out for you in my wing mirrors!

However, like you, I'm not sure my travel speed could be called fast by any meaning of the word [zZzZz]

Nice congrats! I'll be on my way to Beagle Point in a few weeks. I'm hanging around Colonia at the moment. How long did it take you to get to Beagle Point?

Cool - will keep my scanner peeled for you also. I must say there is something relaxing about drifting back after all the hectic push to arrive at BP2. I sometimes wonder now if I will ever get back - and then I faceplant into a sun and shave another point off my hull integrity . . . Down to 63% now.

Urm, about a month longer than planned after I planted myself into a 2G planet only 10K from BP [cry]

But about 4 weeks of slow travel (about 30mins per day)

Good luck

If you think you're slow, just know that I arrived at Sagittarius A* 2 days ago. I left the bubble in may 2016.
It was my first trip out in the dark, but still I think I drifted way, WAY out of my route

Anyway, congrats CMDR ! Maybe you'll catch me on my way home ! o7

Just to clarify, the 4 weeks was from Colonia to Beagle Point.

I left the bubble back on October, so that makes it about 10KLY per month

However that's positively speedy compared to you ... :D

I'll send you a friend request when I'm next on.

Oh that makes sense :p I should add that I don't play for credit or any rank, I just take my time (no sh#t sherlock) and enjoy the game...
Yup I'll see you ig then !

My current trip is very leisurely, one large system takes a half hour hour to explore all planets and moons. If I decide to land, well I'm down to one system a day.

Managed to meet up with CMDR Felix Macedonica a few KLYs East of Beagle Point (Puwhoi UY-S d3-5)

I must say it's very strange seeing another CMDR out in the black ... that now makes only two CMDRs seen in the past 7 months.

Anyway, here's a few selfies ...

One thing I noticed was that the Asp paintwork seemed to be *so* much worse than the Type6 ???

I have also left Beagle Point few days ago. Made already 10kly out and heading straight to bubble as my faction needs my attention urgently.

Be sure to land on the first moon in the system P.O.D.A.R.

GalMap Ref: Myeia Thaa ZE-R d4-0
This system is unique in several respects. Firstly, it contains a ringed Earth-Like World (P.o.d.a.r), secondly this world is blessed with 3 satellite moons, and thirdly its situated on the far edge of the Abyss, making it a possible oasis of life in an otherwise desolate region. Discovered in mid-3301, it is one of only a few ELWs so far located in the Galactic Outer Rim regions.

The first moon of the ELW contains a mountain ridge with a splendid view of the ringed planet, and is included as a landing site for the Sagittarius-Carina Mission.

Landing site : Sierra Stulli

Orbital body : B 11 a
Surface coordinates : 73.85 / -57.82
Surface Gravity : 0.08g

Yeah, I saw you'd started back "South" ... hope you have a safe trip back

Thank you for the tip ... I'll add it to my to-do list :)

Listening to you boys talk of being 'on your way back' has spurred me on....cheers Cmdrs. I'm currently at the half way stage and I'm currently doing 2-3k each night so i should be there in 10 days or so... started off with a trip to Colonia- then Sag A, Great Annihilator and then a quick jaunt up to the roof to see the view, then back to Colonia. I hit the half way point to Beagle tonight and was feeling a bit laggy (I put it down to stupidly starting the BP trip after already covering 40k) ....but reading all your entries has kicked my Asp (see what I did there?) back into gear - cheers lads (and ladies if there are any here?)

Glad our ramblings are being put to good use!!

Found another ELW today, but again already discovered :(

Feel free to friend me in-game... it's always nice to see green markers in the Galaxy Map

Long time since my last post, so I thought I'd get some more screenshots uploaded:-

And when I made it to DWE base camp 21, I found a blue POI indicator ...

Thought I'd stumbled on something fun to hunt for, but after an hour or so of finding nothing but rocks (and a bit of asking on the forum), it turns out it's just a "here's some extra rocks to shoot at".
Didn't seem any better than any other landable planet, so not sure what the "interest" was !?!
