I have to say that personally I think this is actually a really good outcome. Primarily as I think that the big reveal coming from somewhere completely unexpected while everyone was focussed elsewhere makes for a pretty compelling plot/piece of game history. (Admittedly it's also partly for the same reasons DrewC mentioned! Only a little bit though! :D )

Love it! The only way this could have been better is if the cat hadn't come out of the bag over at PAC until afterwards (which I guess it has?). Oh well ;)

I don't think this hurts the Salome event today at all. These logs tell us pretty much what we already suspected we knew. But the details are still unknown, like who is behind this, what do THEY know about the potential threats, etc. are still to be revealed.

If anything it might help some fence-sitters decide on which side to support.

The funny thing is, if any of those currently trying to dominate the pew pew pew angle are doing so in the hopes of gaining "fame" in the book, they just got cast a major amount of shade. I approve. ;)

As far as I can see, it's still in the bag. On discord, they're still talking about killing everyone with weapons, and fleet assignments, and whether they need to start bullying pushing people away from the star in 46 Eridani.

Well - to be completely frank, this mystery had more time invested in it because all of you kept looking for it. Yes, it was always out there, but you gave me more and more ammo to beef it up along the way. So reps to you all - as without your input and tinfoiling... all of this would have been quite different.

TL;DR - it's all your fault.

There is no doubt according to the listening post messages. I've verified them (well done TomasEkeli - great find) and this chase is nothing more than an excuse to lay the blame for Salome's demise at someones door other than the inner circle of elites from the three powers.

I'm hearing rumours of alien attacks too.

There are dark powers at work, over a timespan that stretches beyond normal human life. Time for some DNA tests?

Aliens attack in 46 Eridani... Salomé is the only survivor. All commanders in the system have their accounts reset.
