So about 3 weeks till we here anything more. Will be watching the E3 announcements closely, would be good to get a clip or two beforehand though
"The Electronic Entertainment Expo, commonly referred to as E3, is an annual trade fair for the video game industry presented by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA). It is used by many video game publishers and accessory manufacturers to introduce and advertise upcoming games and game-related merchandise."
It is logical for Frontier to wait for this event to "make announcements and release further information regarding the PlayStation version of Elite." Logical based on industry norms, at least..
That doesn't explain why SC can continue to give ongoing updates of development and still have announcements to make at these events?
Yet Frontier can't even throw us a bone? maybe apart from the PS4 release there IS nothing to reveal.
I'm sure that our Marketing and Community Teams will be making announcements and releasing further information regarding the PlayStation version of Elite Dangerous during the run up to launch.
I used to make arguments like this, back when I was in Kübler-Ross' denial / bargaining stage. I think I've finally moved on to the acceptance stage. Que sera, sera!

This would be nice - thanks!!! hasn't happened yet mind you on anything PS4 related - but the idea is sound...will keep holding my breath...
They can do so much more with the Pro. I really want dynamic scaling with HDR. Space exploration should be 4k (or even 1440p) and scaled down dynamically where appropriate to maintain 60fps. But exploring space in HDR will be amazing. I wish they'd release the Pro patch details already.
At this point in time I'd just like some PS4 details but agree with what you are saying Jon, they could do so much with the Pro at 4k and 1080p. I really hope they do utilise it in a meaningful way.
I would have thought so, FDev originally did state the Pro is fully supported so one could expect that the game will have been fully developed for the Pro first and then scaled back where needed for Vanilla PS4. No doubt we will be impressed with the results if the most recent Pro releases designed fresh with 4K in mind are anything to go off.

The stock ps4 is where the install Base is at and therefore the most important to nail at launch.
Don't worry - we'll know all about it in approximately 33 days, if not before!
Guerrilla Games proved that both the PS4 and PS4 Pro can do beautiful things with the same game. Hopefully FDev take note.
Woohoo! 33 days!![]()
I'm sure they willyou can pretty much guarantee that day one elite on ps4 will look totally different to a year down the line
4k @ a locked 60 does sound abit of a stretch tho!
Fdev could always end all this idle speculation and release some gameplay videos!I'm curious to know if the ps4 trailer actually used any ps4 footage at all lol or if was just the same old trailer with the ps4 logo stuck on the end
