Powerplay @Frontier Developments: Request for some clarity.

I'd be happy if Hudson had reasonable government types to work with. Perhaps things that were a. Federal and b. Existed in our space in reasonable numbers. This is so severely broken in my eyes it's ridiculous. You trying to telling a loyal Fed player base they need to fight against Federal factions at every turn.

Totally agree with this. It's unfair for the Hudson player base to be denied meaningful BGS mechanics and gameplay in their territory (same for Aisling).
Hope we can get some insight for OPs request - I also hope you guys are thinking about how to spice PP up for everyone too!

They're telling that to Aisling, too.

I'd speak more about this, but I've already stated my thoughts in Misaniovent's big thread.

Looking into the crystal ball I see many developers being very busy doing landings on atmospherical planets and lots of thargoid stuff... thus Monday was eaten by Thargoids and big gas-giants... it is no longer monday it's Tharg-gas-day.. and thus the requested information can not be delivered. Becouse there is no more monday.

both statements (and their non-delivery) isn't exactly confidence-building.

Mmm. I was going to just ask a moderator to delete the thread - annoyed just looking at it now - but with so many bumping it (and thanks, btw) it seems to have gone beyond my own curiosity.

Related Question

Well, since it's basically on the same subject, I would like to ask you guys something.

Does the allegiance of the controlling minor faction impact the control trigger, or only the government type matter?

Asking this to see if it's better to have a controlling minor faction that isn't vulnerable to the Ethos but is at least of the same allegiance, or it's better to have one that is vulnerable but may be of different allegiance (or at least independent).

As far as I know the allegiance does not impact triggers at all.

There are some different effects for allegiance. Those are described in the power overview under "exploitation impact" (look here: http://nosuchwebpage.com/index.php?post_id=165). Mostly this effects regard security reductions/increase or economic boosts.

Also if you are wanted by a super-power you might have troubles if you have systems controlled by this "hostile" power and the station might decide to evaporate you. :p

I don't think there is more to allegiance then this.

No effect from allegiance, no. Plenty of examples of independent feudals counting just fine for ALD, and I'm sure other Powers have many more.
