How long have you been camping at the barnacles with still no alien ship?

I have been logging in and out over the last few days just to see what's going on, was the object of cmdr's "playing their own way" a couple of times so came back and left my poor little ASP in orbit while I investigated in my SRV.I logged in yesterday evening in the middle of an event and it was absolute carnage! Vette's and Anacondas were ramming the poor little alien left right and centre as it was trying to do what ever it does to the barnacles, there were Cutters and Asp's dropping from the sky all around my SRV nearly flattening it. I'm not sure how the ships ramming the alien still had power but it was the funniest thing I have seen to date in ED, well worth the few hours I spent there over the last few days and well worth the one ship and couple of SRV rebuys from people pooping in the sandpitMy only regret is when I ALt F10'd to record the mayhem I hadn't had my recording on =(
I'd rather watch it on YT than to waste my time with RNG encounter.
I've been camped out at my Youtube Subscription and nothing new on it for days now. Beer's getting low. Will have to pull out soon.
Curious to know were you playing in Open, PG or Solo?

There are people that get Hyperdicted even in the bathroom, that lands near a barnacle and see flowerships falling around them in no time..
And there are people (like me!) that no matter how much visited every Pleiad star and no matter how long camp near the barnacles, didn't see anything..
So, there's something that the first group do that the second didn't..
My suspect is: Palin
So I ask this: Anyone who doesn't have unlocked Palin has seen any Alien encounter?

Two days or about 12 hours I have now waited. This event is once again completely "Bull.s.h.i.t "(Blödsinn) and apparently only for few players visible. Actually I had already feared before but you always believe in an improvement. Fd always knows how to create frustration and to keep successes small.[down][down]

Delta Squadron took a trip down last night. What we did was have 2 ppl in open and 2 in one private group and 2 in another private group etc. One person jumps out and back in while the other guy spots. As soon as the event starts everyone jumps into the correct mode/instance. I was private, heard the call to open... thats me being sucked up.

About 4 hours approaching barnacles, staying for a few minutes, collecting some metaalloys (might as well do something useful), going back to ship, relogging and repeat. So far nothing. I've also jumped a few hundred times in and around the nebula. Nothing there either.
I'm fairly certain at this point you're all just making this stuff up.
