Backed :) Been waiting for this for a while - a little disappointed there's no kickstarter exclusives at lower points, but still, can't wait to play.

Looks very nice indeed! I haven't backed yet but I'm seriously considering. Great job as far as what I've seen. It seems to have the spirit of the original game while modernizing gameplay.

That being said, what's with the aim of these game devs capturing sneak peeks of their games? Two questions:

1: Why do the vast majority of them insist on playing and capturing FPS games with console controllers instead of KB&mouse?

2: Why on earth, none can manage to hit a thing without losing half their HP to the easiest first opponent?

Hmmmm .... Seriously contemplating backing this at either the $50 or $75 tier ...... The extra $25 seems to get a Physical Copy of the game in a Steel case and access to the closed beta on Steam.

I pledged premium beta for ED and that didnt spoil the game for me, but would it for SS ? Hmmmmmm

Ah, just saw it too. It looks really good for a pre-alpha. The environments is very atmospheric!

It's looking good. I thought System Shock 2 was great the first time round, so happy to see this reboot looking good already.

A classic remake done right!

Cant wait for System Shock 3, I really hope Otherside nail that as well.

Yeah SS3 is the one I'm waiting for really but this could be a nice wee distraction. When is it due to come out?

Hell Yeah I broke down and got a steam account a yr ago and just had to pick up System shock 1 and 2 since they fixed em up to run on new machines. Both games scared the BEJEEZUS outta me then. SS Remastered and SS 3 are both on the list. WOOHOO. I wanted to marry SHODAN. That voice. :) "Hacker"

Oh dear, if they will also make a straight up remastering of SS2 then I'll be happy...and scared.

SHODAN is by far one of the best villains in any game.

Its a great game SS2.

Many many games have tried to label themselves as "spiritual Successors" and the like but none of them bar maybe Bioshock has even come close and even then it was a long way off. Probably the closest thing ive played recently that might come close was SOMA.

SS2 just had an awful lot going right within it. some great gaming memories there.
