Whats your previous Elite experience? Amiga, PC, Xbox?

ZX Spectrum for Elite then the Amiga for Frontier Elite II.

Im assuming this game will be similar to those..........

I played the original Elite on the Commodore 64 then Frontier Elite II on the Amiga. I think I also got First Encounters too.

I played on Commodore64 and Amiga1000 Then the first year of the new PC release. The PS4 games and World of Warcraft pulled me away from my PC Elite playing.

Spectrum, Amstrad CPC 464, 386 PC. Played Elite; Elite II, and First Encounters (when I helped the Thargoids and was given a Scout Ship by way of thanks. Awesome little ship.

Elite on Atari ST.
Frontier: Elite 2 on Atari Falcon030 (ST version, obviously, but I no longer had an ST at this point; it ran beautifully on that 68030 processor).
Elite: First Encounters on PC (buggy version on many 3.5" discs).

BBC Micro - Military Lasers FTW!

Same here. The wire-frame graphics were awesome at the time. And I *always* forgot to sell the one missile you started off with to free up that vital 1t of cargo space! :)

And I became Elite on the BBC version too. If I remember correctly, it was 256 lots of 'Right On, Commander!" messages you needed. More than 65,000 kills. That took a while. And I still have the original manual too. Those things were awesome!

Never played the earlier versions, playing Elite Dangerous on PC since January 2015.

Played Wing Commander and FreeSpace 2 back in the day.

First played Elite on a BBC micro. It was the first 3D space game. It blew my mind. Didn't play the game for twenty years then became a beta backer. Played on a Mac until Horizons and then stopped. I'm totally ready for this. Play space with me mates in a wing with coloured lasers an Thargoids on the big telly? Yes please.

This is one of those rare moments when ya think, good grief, what a time to be alive.

*pats you in the back* Nope. I'm watching the countdown go by.

thanks, i dare not watch the countdown in case it goes up instead, plus the pixies tell me hot pink imp cutters will be around by 2018 and that thargoids are mostly harmless [blah][noob][where is it]

BTW, are you going to visit Lave and try to get a Sol permit? I'll probably never get one since I'm going to the Alliance.
