New Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS One!

so wait.. XB1 is getting rudder peddles too?

If it's like the PS4 one, as I understand it the pedals plug into the stick, NOT another USB port, so they act as a peripheral to your HOTAS if that makes sense.

THE TFRP RUDDER–Thrustmaster Flight Rudder Pedals: DESIGNED FOR ALL USERS Compatible on PC with all joysticks on the market Also compatible on PS4™ with the T.Flight Hotas 4 joystick*/**

From the looks of it, the Xbox HOTAS is just the same as the PS4 one, which makes total sense as all Thrustmaster need to do is brand it, get it supported on XBox with some drivers and then minimal development spend on their part.

This is dream come true!
I'll be moving from the couch to my computer desk. Just need to push the coffee table back a few feet. The wife won't notice

Am I the only one thinking they are giving us a crappy piece of plastic that looks the same as the PS3 stick they did long time ago... I was expecting something "less toy"...

It's a good HOTAS, one of the most popular among PC gamers....don't let the plastic look fool you. The price is great, build quality is great, it's a Thrustmaster stick... and unless you're a serious flight sim geek, plenty of HOTAS for the job. I've got an X52 as I play a lot of flight sims... and I found with sims like IL2, the one failing that the T-Flight series has is a lack of hats...and buttons.

In the PC ED options, the T-Flight has a pre-configured profile...same as the X52 etc. FDev will more than likely just port over the PC settings to the Xbox version to enable the bindings...

Maybe in the future, Microsoft will support other peripherals and you can go fire out a few hundred quid on an X56 :)

Just been looking at the description on the PS4 version Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas 4 War Thunder which with the lack of specs at the moment is probably close to what the Hotas One is going to be....

It only has 5 Axis control.....I'm hoping the new stick will give us the complete six axes.

I can see how Pitch/Roll/Yaw (1st 2nd & 3rd Axes) on the main stick with the throttle giving forward reverse (4th Axis) .....hopefully the rocker on the front of the throttle will be independent of the Yaw on stick and give L/R lateral thrust(5th Axis) but what about the vertical thrust vector (6th Axis) ?

Edit....

Maybe the HAT can be configured to give Vertical/Lateral axes ??

This is exactly what I do on the PC with my Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS. Pitch/Roll on main stick with Yaw on twist and hat for vertical/lateral thrusters. I find it very intuitive now.

Note: (and I'm not 100% sure if this is true for XBOX) ED allows you to bind button press combinations so what you can do is use one or more of the other buttons as "Shift" keys which affect the behaviour of the remaining buttons. I actually use all four of the buttons next to my thumb on the throttle stick in this way, so, with none of those pressed my hat stick operates my thrusters, with the first one pressed is does my pips, with the second one pressed it does targetting (next/prev ship and next/prev sub-system), with the third one pressed it opens my four HUD UI panels and with the lower one pressed it does misc' functions (lights, slient running, FA off and galaxy map). Using a few buttons as "shift" keys in this way can VASTLY increase the number of functions you can bind to your stick.

Thanks Alec...hopefully that style of implementation will be available to us on the XBox. Was that a default profile or did you have to map it manually ?
