I think they're meant to compliment the already existing "Airline" themed paint packs that came out for the Beliga a while ago. Admittedly the Beliga schemes are nicer and better thought out, but I think these are suited to their purpose pretty well. If for some reason you wanted to play Elite as a futuristic passenger liner simulator you've now got all the cosmetic items at your disposal.

It's a matter of taste, like with all art. Some think Picasso works are masterpieces, I find his paintings terrible (apart from the early, realistic works). Some think Phantom Menace was great, I lasted 20 minutes. Some think Coelho is one of the greatest authors that ever lived, I think he's pathetic. Some don't like Blade Runner, to me it's the best movie ever made. Some think Nirvana is just loud bullpoo, I love their music.

I really like those paint jobs.
Especially on the Dolphin, I think it looks great.
Each to their own. Whereas the FaS Dazzle paints I'm going to have to see in game before I'd be brave enough to buy.
Could we maybe get more viewing angles of paint jobs in the store? I'd find it really helpful.

50/50. I really don't like those colours. Too sweet. I've seen the Dolphin so far as less of a Majorca tourist bonmber and more like a limo service, considering the prices I can charge. I'm not really sure a local crime lord is going to hand over 20 MCr for a jaunt to a few tourist spots in a two-tone pink Dolphin.
The other half of the motivation was that we always have such a thread when new colours come in, so this time I wanted to start it.
OTGH, if the Thargoids have any sense of taste and/or colour vision, these paintjobs may be the best defense...
Since they are 3D models anyway, FD could put them up as rotateable 3D models in the store. If the store can handle that.
