FDev, you just upset a *lot* of people.

I should probably apologise for being gloaty mcgloatface in this thread, I should probably apologise for failing to wipe the smile off my face and I should probably apologise for feeling rather superior - BUT I SHALL NOT DAMN YOU! :p

So what does a message mean that i cannot take more missions of this type. In that case the mission i cannot take (e.g. boom deliver biowaste) is showing up.

Hi there,

This is a bug...

In development we experimented with applying the limit on both and either end of the acceptance chain.

This message would have been sent if you already have more than the limit and tried to accept more.

Unfortunately it seems that it has occluded the message you would normally get when you tried to accept more than the global limit of 20 missions.

The long and short of it is, you get this message when you already have 20 missions and you try to accept a 21st.

This should be fixed in a future update (probably 2.4).

Thanks,
Dom

I've spoken to a few explorers who god rolled their fsds after countless rolls who have been hit by this. They will be contacting fdev in due course. The issue is most fdev can do is give them materials not the module. So it'll be up to rng if they ever get those fsds back.

They've taken non exploited rolls from people who never touched the exploit.

I'm sure if that's the case them people can appeal and it's be dealt with on a case by case basis.
Tbh, I wouldn't be very upset if FDev just removed all rng mods, but that would result in even more salt, I expect.

Yeah, i did haul huge piles of Biowaste. Someone has to keep things clean. Thanks for the explanation!

Hi there,

Actually it's not even 3 per faction.

After you already have 3 (or more) of a restricted mission type, you won't see any more when you refresh the mission board menu screen.

You can accept any that you can see.

This is working exactly as was designed, but may well be revisited in the future.

Thanks,
Dom
Thank you sir, for confirming this. :)

Your post should be stickied, so that all the "Quince is an exploit!" people will finally shut up. There's no exploit to be found in accepting missions and completing them as instructed.

So far I didn't see any changes to my stats. Loads of my ships are far away but I'll check those later. Frankly, I'd happily take an unintended hit for this one.
Lol! This thread is on fire.

.
I never used this, so i can't speak of experience. But it explains why people sometimes reported that they were able to pick up more than 3 missions, and all in all this implementation seems quite reasonable.
.
The only thing i dare to ask is: why do i find this Information on the twenty-somthing page of a thread gone strange? I just crosschecked the patchnotes of when that was implemented, they were way more cryptic than this, so it's not surprising that people expected things to be a bit different.
.
I think it would be helpful if such clarifications would be there earlier and easier to find, but still thanks a lot for giving us this information. :)
.

If so, unfortunate but collateral damage is maybe to be expected - I'd rather that than Frontier being too light with the rollbacks - even if it was on me.

If true, then they should raise a ticket. Naturally anyone claiming to have not cheated when they have been punished should be treated with a little bit of skepticism, since sometimes people will swear blue in they face they didn't do something even while being shown absoloute proof they did do it.

So, don't argue with them, neither believe or disbelieve, just tell them to contact support. If they did cheat, FD have the telemetry. If they didn't, FD can presumably roll back today's changes to their account.

It is way more likely that those who claim this are the ones who will do anything to get their exploited stuff back.
