One UA is definitely enough. Don't know about UP.
Just watched CMDR ObsidianAnt's new video and it occured to me that the Probes and the Unknown Device use Spectrograms, maybe that's the Thargoid language.
I don't think there's much doubt that the left system is Merope.
The system layout is an exact match including rings, binaries, and moons.
That being the UA side of the image matches with the UA behaviour.
That made me think that the right side might be a map of the Merope 5c mini-system because of the UP association.
It clearly isn't but don't rule out the possibility that this is a map of a planet and its moons rather than a system map.
The star system is most likely though so:
1 star
8 planets
The 5th planet has 1 moon (or is a binary)
Depending on how we interpret the planet sizes, it might suggest:
Planets 5-8 are gas giants.
Planets 2-4 and the moon/binary are rocky (in the not gas sense)
Planet 1 is also a gas giant.
Planet 1 would make it a fairly unusual system config.

One thing I think we desperately need, and haven't seen anyone suggest, is a spectro of the UL noise.
The 5th orbit has binary planets.

Actually, has anyone checked whether the UP pointing direction has changed?

See my sig - sadly you need to get the UA and UP back and take them to one of the side-rooms near the outside - a UL will spawn and you can shoot it down and start again ...

Tried that, didnt spawn.
Its in one of the side chambers.
from the guide posted earlier
"Take your UA and UP into the side chamber, there will be three pedestals. As long as you have the UA and UP in your hold, once you approach the pedestals, there should even be circular plate in front of them, the UL (Unknown Links) should drop down, held up by three spindly energy beam. You will need to shot the UL to dislodge it so you can pick it up."
If I remember right there were two chambers i saw them in
Did you Jetison or Abandon them in the main chamber, If I remember right when we did the test earlier you couldnt use "stolen" ones ie those which had been Jestissoned

Malic (the guy in the clip) is able to reproduce this at will by exiting the base in the srv with a UP+UL.

I have gone to the side chamber in solo, left my UA at the settlement entrance so the door stays open, the UL was offered to me as i approached one of the 3 devices. I didn't had any UA or UP left in my SRV while doing that .

orbiting my 5th Ammonia planet by now to get my second UP (one got lost due to discon 
) .
Compared to my notes during September to November UP investigations, spawn rate (all spawns, not only UP) seems to have dropped around Ammonia-Planets by nearly 50%. At that time an average spawnrate of 8/h was achivable, now its meager 4/h

I literally had the same idea but didn't thought it's worth pointing that out. The UAs behaviour is pretty much displayed in that image, why shouldn't the UP also displayed in her behaviour. Thanks for sharing.
