A few things to note about the ULs.

- Shoot them and they drop Unknown Fragments like the UA.
- They don't degrade when dropped
- A UL on its own can be used to open the door of the base from the outside. Presumably any of the Unknown objects on their own will suffice.

That is all. Awesome work on the sound btw.

Hi I think mine degrades in space, none of the artifacts seem to degrade at the base and the UL I was watching last night did not degrade at all near a barnacle for over 2 hours

What system are you both in?
I'm about 5000ls away from the main star in Merope, jumped in, went straight up, away from all the planets and just dropped out to start testing. Although I may have accidentally rammed my UP in all the commotion! I still have a UA, UL, Unknown Technology Samples and Unknown Biological Matter.

Edit: I was in Maia and Asterope a few hours ago though, been jumping around trying different places.

Do you think that scanning the uplink with something specific in cargo can open the central upper "door" or what is it? It looks like a hangar for smaller ships to me.

Could it be viable that the timepoints of the 'crashes' (assuming that the superstructures are crashed ships/Thargoids) vary? That the inactive sides crashed in the INRA-Thargoid war and the active only recently?

That'd explain why the active site is more unearthed than the inactive sites.
