You first 24 hours - how far?

Messed around in my goldwinder, did a couple of stater missions so I could get a decent fsd and pootled off away from the starting area to what I hope will be my new home in Imperial space. The journey reminded me just why it is I always equip the biggest fuel scoop I can fit, as the place I set off from only had a 1E fuel scoop . . . I managed three jumps before I found another place that would sell me a 2A! :)

Right now I'm hanging out at Lave doing the CG for fun and cash.

I went to Lave for the CG on day one in the Sidewinder! Crappy FSD and 1E fuel scoop...took forever to get there!

So far, I am having a blast! Got my three starter ships (Sidewinder, Eagle and Hauler) and working towards the Viper III now. After that, I will set my sights on the Diamondback Explorer. Work is torture. Well, it's always torture. But now it is brutal torture! I just want to be home and playing right now!

A whole bunch of this:

Now what? Back to a station. Okay mission mission mission. Got it. Space! Wait is that too far away? What now? Crap. Abandon. Oh crap a fine?! Don't do that again. Station. Space. Okay back to training missions. I see. Space. Crap, now what do I do? Land? How do I? Wait, okay now I got it. Oh a ship. Bounty? Give it a go. Hit hit hit. Crap he's behind me. Can't turn. Can't get him in my sites.
Damn. Eject. Station. Space. Station. Space. Mission. Okay got it. Made it to the right system. Now what? Read read read. Okay go there. Close. Search that area. Timed out. Disconnect. Crap its late. Sleep.

Hehe loads of fun, honestly.

Sitting on the couch, waiting for my game to arrive which will be tomorrow. So I have a lot to do to match up with you guys. I think the first thing I do after the training is heading to a RES to get me some juicy bounties soI can upgrade to an A rated Viper mk3 a.s.a.p.

Basically been grinding delivery misions, tried some mining which was painfully slow, ended up jettisoning what i'd mined and went back to the missions.Got a couple mil now and my first multi crew so i can play with a friend...oh,i've also been taking screenshots every few minutes,i'm obsessed.

Bounty hunting!! Ive made a shed lot of cash at a Rez site since launch so I've managed to buy an eagle and a viper, the latter that is A graded and a great ship to use to kill pirates! I'm now saving like a madman for a Asp Explorer for the DRX event, a Grand Day Out (shameless plug I know but I hope you guys forgive me! ) that's happening on the 15/07/17.

Thank you to FDev for giving us a really great game!

The Maia system is lovely this time of year

Use a Powerline Adapter instead of WiFi if not direct by Lan.

Or... don't use powerline. They suck. Seriously, they're worse than WiFi in many cases. Also they are incredibly dirty from a EM emissions perspective and we're actively trying to get these crappy things banned because they never should've been approved in the first place, and what few approval measurements were made have been done under wrong conditions (no data being transferred during measurement, etc).

Get a cable. Or get that google mesh thing, that works surprisingly well too. Don't get Powerline, and don't buy regular wifi repeaters either, they suck too.

Just completed training missions and plan on gong solo until my skills improve and I develop some muscle memory. Haven't put in all that much time as work and home life seem to get in the way. Hopefully over the weekend I can put in some much wanted time. Just started some light gaming this past March after not gaming for 6 or 7 years. This game has quite the learning curve and is kicking my ......but I'm having a blast!

Also, to the OP....Well done!

So, it's been over 24 hours since launch how is everyone doing?

Have you hit any milestones or smashed any goals you had set?

After a couple of hours of bounty hunting I bought myself an Adder and then carried on bounty hunting and ran the odd delivery mission, and after a few hours I had enough to A rate my FSD, buy a 3B fuel scoop, an Avanced Discovery Scanner and a Detailed Surface Scanner.

I then bookmarked 40 systems with known ELW (Earth like worlds), all within 250LY of Sol and then set off on an epic discovery journey in 'Little Wizard', my Adder.

After about 5 hours of work, and only about 25 of them visited, I'm currently docked back in the bubble and have 25.6 million in the bank, plus I've hit the exploration rank of Pathfinder.

Pretty happy with that. Most of the systems are about 4-6 jumps apart if you plan your route right, with the odd one being a few more. I honked every system with the ADS on the way through and made sure I scanned all ELW and Water Worlds. If there were High Metal content worlds nearby I scanned those too, but I didn't go out of my way for them.

Time to head to Maia for some Meta Alloys, then I'm off to buy a Cobra MKIII from LYR space. Once I've got my Cobra I'll be visiting Felicity Farseer for a tune up as I've collected quite a few materials already.

Having played on Xbox has given me a slight advantage I guess, but I'm really loving how the game plays on PS4, think my Xbox CMDR is going to be on sabbatical for a while

I hadn't even considered going that route so well pld m8! :)
I did end up leaving the starter system/area after i hit one mil and then jumped to qama with an e rated fuel scoop lol :) grabbed a discounted cobra outfitted it and have done a mix of deliveries and passenger missions.

Currently docked at ray gateway with just over six mil :) torn between the dolphin and asp for the next ship although I'm having too much fun back in a cobra to care tbh! ;)

Stuck on my first planet. Did the tutorials a few times. But for whatever reason I cant escape the planet. I have taken off my landing gear, throttled up, stars are moving but I am not. Tried the drive thignie on 'triangle' but the place I want to go is on the other side of the planet, so it says I cant align with it. I am sure there is something I have forgotten and I am sure its embarrassingly simple.

I did not have as much time as i wanted, but reached my "milestone", which was to have a d-rated CobraMkIII, with a 4a FSD. Now saving up for a Fuelscoop. Not really sure what to do then, maybe going on a exploration trip, not too far away, to get the invite for Farseer.

My Cobra only has an A rated scoop at the moment with the rest B and some D for weight. I'm thinking of A rating and heading towards maia/barnacle site to grab some meta alloys then going to visit Farseer to engineer it.

I'm going to see what this week's cg is before I decide as I could just stay put and keep earning credits and then grab an asp ;)

if you want to recoup some cash, a 3B fuel scoop works almost as well as a 3A on the Cobra

I did exactly as you planned last night - went to the barnacles and got some meta alloys and picked up loads of materials from the spikes, then headed to FF for some engineering. I also sold my exploration data to her too so that helped me rank her up

I forgot how much fun it is to fly the Cobra 3 - I think I went to the ASPX to quickly on eggbox one :)

Well I started out running some missions from the starter station and got used to docking/landing whilst I built up some credits. Had enough for a Cobra, but decided to try out some bounty hunting first to build a little more revenue. Found a Resource Gathering site rated "High" and flew around for a bit "helping" the feds fight pirates and ended up with around 2.3 million credits. Picked up my Cobra Mk3 but still trying to find places that sell decent 4A level stuff. Not entirely sure how it'll finally end up configured but tempted to continue to build for bounty hunting for now and keep saving up for bigger ships that way.

Still not entirely sure how you do exploration properly, not sure how you go about scanning systems/planets properly, but will wait till I can afford a proper exploration ship before I worry too much.

Right now, I'm still trying to work out my fire groups (can't figure out how to switch between them so I can use my chaffs) so I can finally look to bounty hunt without fed backup!

Straight off the bat I took a 50k kill mission in my Sidey then a couple of BOOM deliveries. Quickly bought a Hauler and added some extra cargo space. Did loads more deliveries then bought and A rated a Cobra.

Currently sat with my Cobra at Elgin Terminal in LHS 3577 deciding on my next move. There's just so many options. I'm at 100% progression for my Federation rank so I think I'll hang about this system doing various missions so I can get my Federation rank up mission.

Only just realised last night before I logged off that there are tutorial missions within the main game as well. Will probably do them next as well.
