Victory Nameplates...

My guess is that it's a fixed image.

Also (for those that haven't seen the other thread), what's wrong with this image ...

Clue ..

Didn't notice before you posted this but yes, the tally marks count 6 instead of 5 ..... facepalm indeed.

EDIT: just noticed newsletter 181 actually makes a reference to the tally marks being 6 not 5, so may be deliberate? Or the newsletter might be making light of the error.....

Even if we could just enter our own value to have filled in, leave it to us to keep track of what we're marking up and in what values (ie each scratch is worth 5 or 20 or whatever)

He'll of a lot cheaper to make a cover story, no matter how ridiculous, and put it in the newsletter than to pay the artist to remake the nameplate correctly Though I imagine whom ever did it is catching a whole lot of teasing for it

FD Offices, sometime Friday :
"Jaysus, I've just noticed the Victory decals are done in strings of six. David, I'm looking to you for solutions"
"Okay, we could either a) remove them from the store, refund all the purchases, pay the artist to redraw them all, make a patch, get it certified, get everyone to download it and then put it back in the store. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR b), just pretend we meant to do it as sixes, put a line in the newsletter that takes two seconds and then never reply to a single forum thread."
"I think we'll go with B, Dave, I think we'll go with B"

Slightly more responses than I expected. Would`ve been nice if it did mark kills or let you mark kills.

Thanks anyway.

I don't think my kills could fit on the surface area of my ships, and for the Elites, probably not on a Beluga either.

The "classic" one is the one that appeals to me the most. Simple and effective and not distracting from my decals.

Cheers.

I don't know how many thousand kills I have, I haven't looked for a while and I believe I have nearly 2000 bounty claims, so there isn't enough ship - if these nameplates where dynamic - to fit them all

Must be lots of interbreading round Cambridge way.

Probably explains the strange footwear our commanders have. Probably got webbed feet

Sung to the Munsters theme tune

Your father is your Brother
Your Sister is your mother
You like to .... each other
The Frontier Family

;)

That's the Addams Family theme song actually!!!

The hand gesture?

The weird crosses. Even this symbol is prohibited in germany by law. Everyone who uses it have to fear hard punishments starting by fines going up to being arrested [wacko]

More complicated than that - using the symbols of organisations that are defined as working against the constitution is illegal, unless it's for education, fighting against anti-constitutional groups, art, research or teaching.

Those two pictures you showed - people have been sentenced to fines about them, but these fines were again reverted by higher (and up to the highest) courts.

I thought the very point of those two pictures was "fighting against anti-constitutional groups"? You wonder where the stereotype about germans being "rigid" come from...

Italy banned fascist symbols for political use, which should be enough, come on.

Hmm - looks at my stats page, 10851 bounties.

Looks at Cutter parked in hangar - I think I am gonna need a bigger ship !!
