Good gravy! I checked in Saturday morning my time, and it was like 30 still. Check in six hours ago, it was 72. Now it's pushing close to 100. That's good time.

Well back to scouting then...

Iv been getting connection issues today, not had any in ages, I'm 53k LYs away at the other side of the galaxy!

Keeping up with what's going on from afar....Nice work guys & gals, keep finding those sites.

One thought occurred to me regarding the Scavengers repairing some of these sites....are they repairing the inactive ones, active ones, or both.

I am not so sure about it. I mean SOP and saying it means STOP could be wishful thinking. I remember that like 2 days there were actually quiet a few commanders good at morse and stuff like that to try and see if the flashes have any meaning and as far as I remember they said all they got was gibberish so this whole thing was basically dismissed.

I'm not saying there definitely is no message though, please keep trying if you want. I actually agree that there seems to be a rythm in the flashing and it seems deliberate rather than random. But so far no analysis has came up with anything.

Any message is probably meant for the Guardians though right, or represents a Tharg transmission, so human morse really shouldn't work at all.

I'm assuming as we learn more about the Thargs we'll get into language translation territory. Perhaps at that point we might be able to reinterpret it? It's easy to look at the repeating dash & line iconography of the spectographs and wonder if it could be transmitted as a more complex, visual morse. (IE bigger 'alphabet': dot = short pulse; dash = medium pulse; vertical line = long pulse; curved lines could be inflections as in rising/falling luminance etc).

EDIT: I guess at some point they're going to be grumbling about us nicking their 'probes' etc. Should be as inevitable as weather reports over Enigma. Could keep an eye out for that pattern being emitted from live Thargs etc.

I too am Allied with Canonn but didn't do the CG, I was at Beagle Point. It has always been my thinking that I wouldn't get my logo until 'later on' as FD stated - probably when 2.4 is launched

Ah yes, I seem to remember an FD missive explaining that other Allieds would get them in a future update.

I have a feeling they used us as a test-bed

Don't know how long it takes to get 'em by becoming allied - I'd give it a while (appears at top of my list).

I'm doing a bit of video documentation on the behavior of Scavengers. Here they are working outside the main structure. Cleanup? Repairs?

To me it looks like they are eating the structure. The beam is absorbing not repairing and the structure is heavily pitted where they have been chewing onit.

Fascinating stuff but difficult to study behaviour when the AI is running simple routines.

On that note, I can finally see how the audio and visual number system matches up ( with the current audio samples HIP 17044 from Xenia_K ):
