Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

ok landed at davs hope, clicked to add location data (first time used this)
called it davs hope
location type picked landmark (this is where it doesnt store)
distance in ls, so i put in the ls to the planet 60 (cant put the .10 in)
clicked save.
Now when i go to navigation panel and click locations, davs hope is there, but listed as a black market, so i go back to the davs hope in the landed panel at the top and click modify and the landmark is now red as if i havent picked it.
Saving it again as landmark has no effect and still isnt saving.

Surely DAV's Hope can't be saved since it has no planetary / surface marker in the game - i.e. even if you have been there and see the nav marker on your next visit, it doesn't show on the surface map.

it allows me to manually save it? i thought that was partly what this was used for, as i say i not used this before.

It saves its location etc fine just doesn't save the location type.

Then on the mini map i can find it easier than using the in game mechanics or am i missing something?

apologies if this wasn't its intended usage

on the summary panel it shows as it should a landmark and not a black market.

What must i change whenn message false Cmdr ..... at tcm start

If your displayed commander name (at the launcher, provided by EDMC) differs from the journal log (your commander, you logged in into ED), TCE informs you, because you don't want to overwrite the one with the other. Because of TCE is actually not designed to support multiple commanders, I can recommend to have a TCE version for each commander. Install a second version of TCE beside your other version and login into ED before you are using TCE.

Great thanks. A suggestion. You can add the population of a system in the trade panel (I think). Can we also make it possible to add the population of a system from within the factions panel. I keep clicking the population field in that panel without thinking so it would seem intuitive (to me at least) make that a location that can be edited.

Thanks

Because the population value is for a system and not for an installation, it is noted at the Navigation panel. There you can change/add the value at the summary of the star system.
You can change also the popluation value of a star system at the Faction panel already, when selecting the faction summary of a monitored faction. Double-click at the "unknown" population value at the list of star systems.

Why it's displayed as a Blackmarket, I don't know, have to check it. Can you send me an error report with your database to identify the issue.
Thanks.

Cheers, that has now resolved my transferring of DB issue.

If it is possible, please check the duplicate star system name issue, you had reported, if it is working now.
Thanks.

Can anybody help me? I have installed this to D:\TCE and pointed it to Horizons, it loads up fine but says login error, How do I rectify this.
I know it may have been asked before but 270 pages is a lot to go through. :)

also im not sure the hangar is fixed as it still isnt showing all my ships even after being docked at a station and updating while looking at the shipyard several times as below will show.

It arrived and I found the both issues. It will be fixed with the next update. The hangar list is updated when using the Connect button, but sadly the scrollbar is not visible to scroll through your ships.

I summarized many questions of this thread in the FAQ's section of the main post. There you will find help most of the time, but if not, feel free to ask for help!

Thanks.

I think I've already changed them all manually. But it is possible I may have missed one, I'm going round all the stations in Colonia so if there is one I'll find it.

MINOR Error:

Go to PERSONAL/ACTIVE BOUNTIES and I get this error.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

JOURNAL FILE

1.5.8.1 DB

Because the population value is for a system and not for an installation, it is noted at the Navigation panel. There you can change/add the value at the summary of the star system.
You can change also the popluation value of a star system at the Faction panel already, when selecting the faction summary of a monitored faction. Double-click at the "unknown" population value at the list of star systems.

I double checked and you can change the population when you are viewing the list of systems your faction is present in. However, when you click the "Factions Selection" button (top left) and it shows you all the factions in the current system you can not change the population of the system from that screen. That is the one I was trying to do it on.

Thanks for the response.

Bug Report:

Whatever calls the EDMC auto-connect feature upon Docking appears to be broken.

TCE 1.5.8.1 and EDMC 2.341

Auto-Connect on Dock definitely enabled. I actually tested toggling that on and off to no effect through multiple play sessions.

Upon docking at new markets, the program used to wait until you'd saved, then update with EDMC. It no longer updates, and each market says "Update Required" and I have to manually update it.

Upon docking at previously-registered markets, the program no longer automatically updates with EDMC. I tested this with a market that I had not been to in 6 weeks, but definitely had updated commodity data. TCE failed to automatically update after I was fully docked, and I had to manually update.

This appears to be new behavior, possibly the last full update or 1.5.8.1 hotfix introduced this?

Thanks for your work.

Wow your on a roll. Thanks

POSSIBLE ISSUE - OR NEW USE CASE:

When docking with a station that's already been registered in TCE and that station has changed it's Economy Type, TCE doesn't update it and it needs to be done manually. Can this update happen automatically? If not then a message would be better than nothing.

VERY MINOR ISSUE:

NAVIGATION\MARKET PLACES, sorting ECONOMY TYPE is missing Colony in the options. All others are there.

Installed the update, upgraded the DB, and all issues i reported seem to be fixed from what i have seen so far.

Many many thanks again for the quick releases :)

You should be employed by FD to make their game more informative and immersive, this really does and will aid in my game play and interactions within elite.

Rep`d again.

nop no more rep aloud lol

I couldn't find the answer to this in the Wiki so maybe someone can help:

Is it possible to specify the max distance that TCE consideres when determining the Auto Destination? I know how to stop the Auto Destination including planetary etc but I can't see how to set a max distance.

It takes it from the Trade Finder filters, at least mine does.
