So... I'm now a "Serf".... :(

So... after all this time being loyal to the Federation, I've decided to embrace the Empire instead.

Why?

Because of this:

The Empire has more varied accents and sexier-sounding traffic controllers that don't sound like they got up on the wrong side of the bed in the morning. They are SOOOOO WELCOMING!

So, I started working my way up the ranks, and I'm now a "SERF"~~!! YAY ME!

Wait, what?

Better an Imperial Serf than a Federal Admiral. Welcome to the winning team :D

Ave Imperator!

LOL thanks. Now I'm slowly moving my ships from Sol over to XuanGu (my chosen Imperial "home" system). Yeah I'm too cheap to spend money to have them move my ships for me :p

I'm also having my own bit of fun trying to work out those Chinese-sounding system names, and what they could be in Chinese writing. There's quite a number in Imperial space. Some sounded like place names, some like people's names. For example - Xuangu system, sounds like the name of a place somewhere, "Xuan Gu" (could also be a person's name)... but I dunno what the written Chinese form would look like.

The station in Sol, Li Qing Jiao, is a person's name. Who this person was, and what significance her contributions were, I dunno :D She must've been someone influential to get a station named after her. Maybe the station was named for this girl ---> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li_Qingzhao

does this rank grace you with the lovely iCourier? it's been so long....

Dunno... I'm not fussed about ships actually. I never even bothered to get the Federal Corvettes or what-nots. I'm happy with my Python and my Cobra :) It is very unlikely I'll get any Imperial-specific ships too.

The Fed controllers all sound like those cheesy American "Generals" in those B disaster movies with something lodged well and truly where.....something should never be lodged.

I like the Mancunian controller voice they have. Sounds a bit like Sarah Cox.
(UK radio presenter for those not heard of her 😃)

Imperial docking controllers are by far the best. Even when they don't know you, they're polite, and when I return to my home system where I'm Allied it really does feel like coming home.
