So... I'm now a "Serf".... :(

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.

The Empire *does* have better traffic control voices, you're right. ;)

Imperial docking controllers are by far the best. Even when they don't know you, they're polite, and when I return to my home system where I'm Allied it really does feel like coming home.

Yes. I didn't plan to have a home system, but it seems that I've settled on Wuthielo Ku, and have even gone so far as to start moving my ships there (previously they were at Jameson Memorial, for obvious reasons). I like the welcome I now receive at all the local stations.

Philosophically, I can't justify my support for the Empire. It's lucky this is just a game. :D

I hear you, the fed controllers often sound like some chip on the shoulder low wage-slave overtaxed chump. While the empire traffic control ladies sound like attractive hotel resort concierge with a euro accent.

You're probably right about that historical chinese lady figure's name in monument stations over earth orbit alongside Earth's Lincoln and Gorbachev. As their dowager empress before the industrial revolution was pretty much a finked disgrace.

Hope you joined Aisling, haha. And oh, highly recommended to try out the clipper, icourier or even the cutter , or the imp fighter. Gutamaya is like the BMW/Mercedes of the ship makers. have fun.

When I think of Alliance I get that "Hello, Komrade!" vibe, whilst the Federation differs from Empire and Alliance with its very militaristic and corporate style. I like that one Federal lady who talks softly and wishes the best for my safety after exiting the "No Fire Zone" area...

... But each and every Imperial station where Haruka Kuroda is the hangar announcer I always got a free warm coffee waiting... ;) I love the variety of Elite!

The Fed controllers all sound like those cheesy American "Generals" in those B disaster movies with something lodged well and truly where.....something should never be lodged.

*I* could do the VO work.

Many of your "cheesey" generals were picked because they had been long-service pro's. Barry Corbin (General Berenger, in War Games) was a long-service Marine, who specialized in instructing non-US troops in USMC tactics. The list goes on.

Having that background is hard to fake. Once you have been in long enough, it's automatic to sound and act in a particular fashion.

Which is why at drive throughs, I am called "Sir". I have one of those darned voices (US Military, southern). Plus, professional voice training, and leadership training. I can walk into any FBO in the US, and be asked what type aircraft I want to rent, without saying a word. "I'm just here for the restaurant!" (Almost all jet-capable fields have food). You have to go past the FBO to get to them.

OP, yes, this is one of the reasons why I love playing in Imperial space. The controllers are all very courteous and want to make your visit as pleasant as possible. If you are an ally, they even mention that a lot, such as "We're always pleased to see an esteemed ally like yourself. Please proceed..."

Most Federation controllers, even when you're allied, are still grouchy towards you. You just get the least grouchy experience. lol.

The Alliance is ok. But yes, Imperial stations are my favorite!

Come to the right side

I think I've been banned from a number of installations for harassing that Jane Horrocks sound-a-like space traffic controller for her number. Ooops. :)
