As an experienced gamer but new player to elite I know update are essential for a great game game. The one day i have off and thought ill get more to grips with this awesome new game and im gonna have to wait.
Sod's law i belive its called. hopefully the servers will be back up and running before my fiancee gets home so i can get an hour or two in before i get told to rejoin reality.

about Player faction

I'm looking for adding NEW Player Factions that you informed to be aproved at 30/06/2017.

General Fixes & Tweaks

• Overworked Air Traffic Controllers will no longer greet pilots as they are leaving.

Thank goodness ... it was driving me crazy.

I very rearley get them any more by doing a minor change via the ps4 settings.

Press the ps button on controler
Go to settings
Set up connection
Manual set up

Now put everything as automatic apart from the DNS THE new DNS are as follows

Primary DNS 8.8.8.8

Secondary DNS 8.8.4.4

this will dramaticly change how many times you get a server loss. I played for around 12 hours solid yesterday with only 1 loss to server. Hope this helps. Fly safe commander

If this genuinely improves matters for anyone then it points to the DNS servers their ISP specifies (and probably runs) having some issue with the necessary host lookups to play ED.

I really wish there was some way to know how things are progressing. I have massacres to do and now I don't know if I should stay up and try to do them in 4.5 hours or just forget it and lose the 75M CR.

I've personally not had this snag, even with my interesting internet tether set up.

Please for the love of all that is good in this game, make it easier to g rank up in Federation/Empire. You guys complain about players grinding credits/rank but what choice do you give them. It can takes YEARS to get some things while the players who know all the secrets get the cool toys and dominate others in days/weeks. I'm all for the game being fair, but if you're going to remove some things, add others. "It's not about the destination it's about the journey". Yes that's great and all, but I for one don't like space trucking and farming exploits. Sadly what I enjoy doing doesn't pay well or get me anywhere near my goals like all the people who have more time and enjoy spending endless hours farming whatever it is they farm.

Be nice to turn the station voices back on. Its been nice not getting told off for speeding the last two weeks but I miss their abuse.
Shame the skimmers are taking a little longer to fix but planetary bases are still landable.
On xbox laser weapons are not detailing properly. The beam, pulse, burst, mining lance, they all kinda just dissappear after leaving the weapon.

Client updates don't show up until the servers are back. Everyone chillax, gonna be a peaceful day (for us)

for anyone wondering why 5 hours and why not wait until thursday, well, my guess is because there may have been a slight escalation in the conflict that fd might not have expected yet and needs to be addressed

Missions

• We no longer award micro resources that are not used for anything as mission rewards.
• Various mission tweaks and fixes.

i think what this is referring to is there are some mission rewards for engi parts that aren't used any more and they are cleaning them out, also i think they are fixing the bug where rare mission rewards aren't spawning. so everyone that thinks the engi grind will be gone, sorry, it's sticking around.

DING DONG Engineer commodities are officially dead!

Micro resources aren't commodities. They mean stuff like Crystal Shards, which literally had no use in the game.

Client-side patch updates generally come near the end of the downtime window.
