Understand that i dont want/need a cobra MKIV, by all accounts its not that great and those that have both would use a MKIII instead, if i purchased one it would go into storage and id likely never use it beyond module storage but the fact i cant buy one is killing me

i was a beta player and i dont have a cobra mk4 think how i feel

I do alternate between the Mk 3 and the Mk 4. I use the older MK 3 when I want speed, and the MK4 when I need the cargo space :D The MK4 isn't really that bad.

Having said that, I never even knew it was an "exclusive". I was wondering why some of my friends never bought it, but I just figured they preferred to concentrate on bigger ships for "grinding".

Also...when did Fuzzy Dice get released?? I missed it!

But the MkIV is a heavy flying turd of a ship. Its not groundbreaking in any such way. Its the like the difference between a viper and a viper MkIV. The plain old viper is the superior combat ship in terms of speed and maneuverability. The Cobra MkIV is the exact same way Cobra MIV. Its slower heavier and less maneuverable.

No reason keep it locked away. Nobody uses it anyways. At least it could be an okay mining ship at best. Cosmetics should be exclusives, content should not. Thats console level crap sorry to say. Not knocking on you console players. Just pointing out how you all generally get shafted all the time for exclusives.

Biggest and most egregiously anti consumer one I have seen as of late was when Destiny launched. The PS exclusive content was bull and is ultimately why I no longer play on Consoles. If I pay for a game I want what I paid for. Especially if it cost the same money. So lets not be like the petty console wars and expect what we always have had on the PC. No such thing as exlusives on the PC no need to fall into that same trap that the consoles have. Loved my xbox until I saw what they did with CoD in retaliation to the Destiny release. Its kids crap.

The CM4 is a totally different ship to the CM3 and should be used differently. Also, it is a great ship. The problem is, many people look at ship stats and declare them rubbish without actually looking for their possible use, or compare them to other ships and find another ship is better, often without considering price differences.

Well, i'm here to tell you that the CM4 is one of the best ships in the game, and that while i would love more/better/etc on the CM4, same could be said for many ships.

For its size, its has an amazing number of internals. This makes it one of the best small ships for mining, planetary missions, exploration, and piracy.

As for it remaining exclusive... yeah, i think they should open it up, at least to anyone who has Horizons.

Because small ships are fun! And more of a challenge.

Its like people who fly maxed out Corvettes and then complain the NPCs are too easy.

My CM4 is currently fitted as a stealth bomber, and looks the biz with the black paintjob.

The Cobra IV isn't much of a ship to be honest. I sold mine a long time ago and never looked back.

I always have to add, that it is a surprisingly good and versatile ship once the drives are upgraded. It is a mini-Python. In fact I foregone buying a Python because of MkIV.

You're not missing much. It's not a particularly useful ship. I flew mine once, and it's been gathering dust ever since.

I have access to the Cobra IV. I had one for a bit but soon got rid of it. It is an awful ship. From that point of view it wouldn't matter to me if everyone had one, but.....

FD said it was a one time only exclusive. It would disappoint me if they went back on that. Doesn't matter that it was for a ship no one really wants, except a few who can't have it. The point is, can we trust what FD say. I think at the moment we can (mostly). Going back on a promise (even a silly little one like this), would undermine that. Look what happened with offline mode.

Having timed exclusive items which aren't purely cosmetic is as bad of an idea as simply selling them would be. I'm glad it didn't become commonplace.

I doubt anything will change with the Cobra MkIV though.
