You live in a country full of history with a rich and beautiful language. Surely it wouldn't be too hard to find a faction name that doesn't break any copyright.

He's probably <expletive deleted> off that Frontier Developments are so <expletive deleted> at communicating with anyone who isn't a shareholder or journalist. <expletive deleted>! (that last one just felt good). @OP, have you tried opening a ticket with support asking for help? they're usually pretty good and fast.
Well.. thank you an sorry. But I repeat: The problem is not Tesla, the name is not important. The problem is....... they left us saying nothing! We could have changed name a month ago. And not to resubmit. Sorry for my English now. Im tired.
FD can be pretty useless at getting back on some things. I think that their community team is understaffed.
They are a good software house but need to improve relationships with the community.

Why Tesla? You are an Italian group and that great nation has a rich scientific history. How about Fermi, Cassini, Lagrange (half French admittedly), Marconi or even Da Vinci, to name but a few?
I repeat for new readers! The problem is not Tesla! We don't care about that name. We have changed it (Tethys Empire Crew). The problem is Frontier and her treatment to us!!! Frontier said nothing for a month after we changed it the FIRST TIME. And now..... we are kicked out. We must resubmit. We probably must wait other six month (what????????????????????????). Shame.
I can understand the frustration of waiting for something and feeling like you're being ignored. But PMFs are merely a courtesy Frontier extends to groups, they're quite rightly not going to be treated as a high priority. If you want to poke them for an update, it would probably have been much more productive to send one of the community managers a polite PM.
As other people have wondered, why Tesla? If you're specifically an Italian group, surely it would be better to name yourselves after one of Italy's great scientists.

Well it certainly is a shame, but responding aggressively to a chap lending his bat to your cause (and who read every post in the thread, so hardly a new reader) will win you little sympathy. I will put it down to a translation issue and continue to support your cause
There are no less than 20 Systems with Tesla in their name. I don't care that this is no longer relevant.....
Tesla is a name, Ford is a name.......nobody in the world cares if these are copyrighted or not, this is irrelevant. its a game and in all honesty if someone is bothered by free advertising....copycatting is a form of flattery which is what this is, Nikola Tesla is many peoples hero and to be perfectly honest the companies using his name suck in my opinion. Everyone considered the man insane for his beliefs, yet people stole his ideas and claimed as their own, discredited him constantly. To promote his name in a corporation is disgusting to me. The man was a genius well before/beyond his time and long after his time there is still no comparison. There are even more things he invented that are yet to be recognized as genius and time will continue to reveal this to the world, and more pity to those that did not recognize this while he was alive.

More to the actual point, and I do not care for opinions of anyone on Fdev's side in this other than Fdev themselves, people ask questions or for help or for cool in-game things like getting a player faction, we then get responses.
That said, the only thing to say here is what numerous people would like to see...
When asking for a player faction, the first response is fine, no matter what it is....after that, would it not be simply nice to offer a change suggestion to the applicant?
I get that this may require more effort...but really, you have a reason for denying....can't you give them a clue?
Even if this person is only a 1 person player group, I would rather not see threads like this one, it creates a disappointed player, and after more than one request...and many months, player dis-content..I'd hate to see players leaving the game for something so minor, but I do understand the frustration, even worse really for a large group of players trying to do something that will make the game much more enjoyable for them...is this not what getting a player faction is about?
Give the guy a hint at least.......

still waiting for fdev mail, meanwhile other faction arrived in game. we make request 6 months ago, this is no ridicolous, more than ridicolous, i bet our faction cant apper untill 2018, a year of waiting. maybe more.
FD admitted to losing some CG submissions (here) when they created the Community Goal Submissions form. I wonder if they have also lost some of the player group applications. Maybe a form similar to the CG submission would be a good way to manage this.
problem is the silence. theu use google form they have an excell with list, whats the problem to send an email when some faction are not ok. an auto message "hey your faction cant be approved please resubmit a new on" NO, no they add the faction in game, the ones who are ok, and the ones who arent? WHO CARE!! wait other 6 months! you have a community etc? its your business! we dont give a about your community. meh, and i see in game faction abandoned cause composed by 2 member reserving the system for the eternity. meh meh meh meh meh.
is also ridicolous theres only one person to make all the stuff (Brett), cmon i think there a list of volunteer who can handle the request and only make a ping to cmdrs who make the request "wee see you have sumbit, have patience". meh, i can do it, gratis one our at day.
