Right before I leave for Beagle check my rig!

Well I've been at Colonia, fresh from the Bubble, for 4 days, and the pew pew with my shipped Vulture got old pretty quick :O.

Time to leave then.

Beagle Point Via SagA* etc.. I'm going to try high and low points "on the way" and whatever else takes my fancy. I might be some time...

Here's my ride: Dolphin "Nostalgia For Infinity" https://eddp.co/u/8cMZmwAh, actual range: 42.54 (45.60) ly.

I also presently have 15 Basic, 30 Standard and 26 Premium Jumponiums.

Have I got a fighting chance?

On second thought, I would change the powerplant to 2A (G1 overcharged would be great).

Nice ship great name.
Change the PP to an overcharged 2A.
Easy Cmdr. I did it in a pre engineering era 37ly Annie on DWE. The abyss was a challenge and I used a few 25% jumponium nothing more.
With that range it will be a walk. A long walk mind. Take care and good luck Cmdr. Just don't go space mad.
Repped for joining the BP club. Just don't disappoint me and suicide on the way back.
Remember It's there AND BACK AGAIN otherwise it doesn't count :)

Not much to add to the already posted PP suggestions. That said, you might want to consider taking a 5A Fuel Scoop - just going on the general rule of taking the best possible Fuel Scoop, as I've never flown a Dolphin myself.

Additionally, possibly some cosmetics:
- Deactivate 2 of the 3 Heat Sink Launchers (for heat reduction), but that's personal taste, as is taking 3 in the first place
- Deactivate Cargo Hatch (for heat reduction) and reduce priority to 4
- Heavy Duty mod for the Lightweight Alloy would increase ship integrity by about 10%

I reached Jaques station yesterday, returning from my second trip to Beagle Point.

This time I took my 39.4LY Annie & packed it with jumponium mats for the trek across the Abyss. I picked a random spot to cross the Abyss (I could only describe it as being slightly NE direction when lined up from Colonia & Beagle.
On the return I was in the area of the 'Route 33' though I never followed the actual route.

To my surprise the total number of mats used was......ONE! that was a J3 on the return leg.

Maybe I got lucky with both crossing, I was planning on having to double back for days & stopping to collect more mats, but this time it was a breeze, so I would advise you to prepare for the worst, but you shouldn't have too many problems crossing the Abyss

Agree with 'Redfox'
5A fuel scoop, and I'm sure you know to turn off every unnecessary heat source once away from the bubble. Just don't forget to turn your shields n dist back on if landing or dropping into a planet ring :)

Enjoy your journey, I'm sure you will just fine and good luck Cmdr.

It's a Dolphin you cannot equip a 5A fuel scoop in the restricted slot.

As others have said upgrade your Power Plant to a A rated overcharged or not. A rated power plants deal better with heat. Other than that it looks good.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll upgrade to a 3A PP but as there's no engineering out here at Colonia I can't go down to an OC'd 2APP. Not sure why I didn't already have a 3A!??

I also did not know or make the connection between turning modules off and lower heat generation. Obvious really

Edit: Gads! It also looks like I am stuffed on the 3A PP as the closest source EDDB lists for the unit is back in the bubble...

However I did ship out a Vulture which has a 4 AA OC'd PP.

Editx2: I have a Viper & A iEagle back in the bubble, both have 3A OC'd PP. I guess I could ship one of them out. Is there no way to check the mod details for this ships?

OK ship the Viper, it's the cheapest. Remove the mods on the PP to boost integrity.

Back to World of Death while waiting.

Sorted. :D

You must be rolling in it, I die inside a little bit more every time I look and see how much it is going to take to get my Asp back from Jacques.

Yeah. I think I checked the prices while I was there, and having a ship moved cost somewhere in the neighborhood of about 1.3x or 1.5x the purchase value of the ship+modules? Something like that. Ouch.

A rate the PP
ditch 2 heat sinks. just take one.
wow that 5 internal optional slot is nasty bad.. craptastic. just leave it empty.

if it were me I would ditch the heat syncs and change your power plant for a 2A..

Other than that the Dolphin is a great ship, I did the beagle run and even ishums reach, link in my signature, or if your lazy video series start is here:

It's just under 60 million to get it back, I will have to take a cheapo out there and then fly it back instead I think.
