Engineers Chemical Manipulators Available at....

Any Anarchy system in Famine has them. Just drop into the distribution Center and kill T-9's to your hearts content.

Very low generation rate at Dav's Hope for me , but picked up three units yielding 9 in the end.

I've tried the Naphtha Tanker and only found Chemical Processors, no Manipulators [mad]

What are you guys doing to the naptha class tanker? Can we destroy megaships now? Seems an awful waste to blow up a megaship for a chemical manipulator...

I cant understand why people dont just do this, it is the easiest and quickest way to get them (by the boatload) I may add.

Do you have the blueprint pinned? There's been some speculation that pinning the blueprint increases the likelihood of finding the desired materials.

Perhaps because not everyone is combat savvy and T9s can be quite tough to kill if you don't have the right ship and loadout.

There shields drop quite easy and if you have the PowerPlant targetted they are dead within seconds. You can do it in a cobra for example, doesn't need to be anything fancy.

No, it's similar to a NAV beacon site, where ships spawn, fight and dump materials

Murderer ! :p

I did not have the blueprint pinned. I will test this theory ;)

Got a bunch at Dav's Hope, then when I had them, I started tripping over them during regular game play.

I have 40+ now from 0 just a few days ago.

Go figure.

Because it doesn't always work. I have flown all around 3 Anarchy systems in a famine state. NO Distribution centers have spawned. Not a single damned one. I have been searching Anarchy systems for over 8 hours in game. Best transport ships I have been able to find were three T7s in SC. They failed to drop any chemical manipulators.

I am in the same boat too, looking for chemical manipulators. I generally play as a law-abiding commander, so I'm not keen on destroying endless Type-9s just to get a few pieces of salvage - it breaks the immersion (I know if it's anarchy it's technically not illegal, but still...). I guess I am stuck looking for them in certain USSs...

I gave up on USS's for CM's..

Go here..

Dav's Hope

System: Hyades Sector DR-V C2-23
Planet: A5
Cord: 44.818; -31.389

use this if its your first time...

https://edbearingcalc.neocities.org/

enter your current location co-ords (can be done in orbit before Glide, throttle to 0%)
enter Davs Hope location..press button..follow heading..its at the base of a mountain.
Maybe need to re-calculate heading once or twice..

2nd visit has it marked on the planet surface as a PoI

Just quit to menu and restart to force respawn.. its quicker than flying futily around for and hour or so..
